View in original aspect?
Posted by: dazz - 2004-11-29, 07:13 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

My recorded TV is not really recorded in 4:3. But GBPVR plays it back that way. If it were to play it back in its original aspect, there would be horizontal black bars above and below the picture. GBPVR des not display the black bars, and instead distorts the picture to totally fill the screen. Is there any way (in full screen mode) to display the picture in the original aspect?

 Watch .dvr-ms files
Posted by: dazz - 2004-11-29, 06:25 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (4)

I have a back-log of files that I recorded on MCE, in dvr-ms format. It'd be great if I could watch them in gbpvr.

 Programmable skip amounts
Posted by: dazz - 2004-11-29, 06:18 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (7)

It'd be great (and so easy to add) if there were different skip amounts, rather than just 1 min and 10 sec. I know you can skip by any number of sec, but that is a pain to type "180<skip>" every time, rather than just having a single button skip 3 mins. It'd be even better if the user could define what the skip amounts were. e.g. I might want 3 mins, 30 sec, 1 min, and 10 sec all available. Someone else might want a different combination.

I'm using the PVR350 tv out, but when I start GB-PVR it seems to use 100% of the CPU
Replace the file c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\black.mpg with the updated file in the zip archive: http://www.gbpvr.com/black.zip

This is fixed for the next release

 Server Error in '/gbpvr' Application
Posted by: chasef - 2004-11-29, 01:32 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Sub et. al, I tried setting a recording through the remote web interface this morning and I got the "Server Error in '/gbpvr' Application" in the pop-up window where you click "Record Episode" or "Close." Any ideas? The exact page text will follow:

Server Error in '/gbpvr' Application.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Runtime Error
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="Off"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

 Problems PVR-350 and PVR-150MCE (v227)
Posted by: Edwin10 - 2004-11-29, 12:04 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (15)

Hi all,
I've been using GB-PVR version 227 for some while now, and I'm very pleased with it.

Soon my PVR-350 wasn't enough, so I bought a PVR-150 MCE to be able to record 2 programmes at the same time.

I added the PVR-150 to my system, installed the drivers according to the hauppauge website, but after that, nothing seems to be working anymore.
Meaning, I don't have video anymore. When I disable the PVR-150, it works again.

I'm using the latest drivers for the PVR-350 from the hauppauge website.

Does the 238 version have some approvements for multi-card support and/or the PVR-150 ?

Kind regards,
Edwin

 Version 0.238 does not install
Posted by: boondoggle - 2004-11-29, 07:13 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

When installing I get two errors. The first is:

Internal Error 2908 (followed by a reg key)

At the end of install (when it says "Publishing Product
Info&quotWink I get Error 1935, at which point the install fails. It
attempts to roll back, but does not do so correctly.

I can re-install 0.227 with no problems.

 Recording Quaility
Posted by: steve1999_CA - 2004-11-29, 06:19 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

What recording quaility should I use? All I do is watch TV after I record it on my MediaMVP. Right now I use medium, but I'm thinking about switching to low or LiveTV.

Enhanced Web Admin:
Download Location:

The Enhanced Web Admin was originally started by KingArgyle, to add a much needed Search feature to the Web Administration. Since the initial release, Normanr has taken over further enhancements. The enhanced web admin has been incorporated as a standard distribution with GBPVR, but the version that ships is a few releases behind. If you want to find the latest and greatest version, please follow the link above. All support questions and feature enhancements should be directed to this thread.
