I am trying to install .238 on Win XP Pro Service Pack 1. I have tried on 2 computers that have previously worked with past versions of GBPVR and the Hauppauge software. So I am installing and I get an error message that says "Error 1904 C\.....MSADO14.dll failed to register. Hresult 2147024769 Contact support personel. I have tried to reinstall the Hauppauge software, their current beta, and it works fine. I tried uninstalling the old versions of GBPVR also. Anyway the net result is that the MVP will not make a connection the the server and I cannot contact the server using program files/ gbpvr/gbpvr either.
I also tried just ignoring in the install like it said in a previous post, that didn't work either.
I've just installed V0.23.8 and it starts up fine. I've got as far as watching live TV but am then unable to return to the main menu - the video simply freezes.
I don't know whether it's related or not but the status program seems to be permanently attempting to access the web from the moment it's started (not just when the video freezes).
Please let me know if I need to send you anything to aid with debugging - I'm a bit new to this.
Hi,
Am I the only one that can't add custom tasks or create a new menu in .238's version of config? I can add the new menu but can't add anything inside it.Adding to custom tasks doesn't do anything when I click the button?? Any ideas???
Thanks in advance
When I uncomment the two lines that show the time and the future recordings on the main menu I noticed my GBPVR process starts sucking up most of the CPU. It goes from 95+ for a second, back down (< 10) then back up to 95+ the next second and so on.
im not sure if this has been requested before, but when you're browsing thru the mini guide, it would be nice if you could press the blue button to show the info about the selected show in the mini guide. i guess this will be updated (im presuming its a good idea and sub agrees ) when sub implements the ability to go forward in time via the mini guide.
just thought i request it if know one had thought of it.
also nice if red/yellow button in main guide did a page up/down function.
and be nice if you could position the osd display in mini guide (bottom line is kinda cut off when i press the blue button (fine for the green), if this is already available, any hints to where?)
I've installed the new release yesterday. - WOW!
Now I've one problem:
I'm using PCR 250 with Radio and installed the Lame-Codec.
When I start FM-Radio on andy MVP-Box, everything is fine.
Bit when I start radio direct in the GBPVR-Application I get the following error: "Das Objektverweis wurde nicht auf eine Instanz festgelegt".
I the temp-folder is an new mp3-file with ca. 20 seconds of the right radio-station.
It seems, that gbpvr.exe could not open the mp3-file.
The MVP screen saver doesn't come on anymore. I've installed .238, but I can't say for sure that the screensaver stopped working when I installed the new release (I actually think it worked for a while after installing the new release).
Fot those using TMPGEnc Plus 2.5 This template will take any did rip down est. Say 2 hour movie is ripped with dvd shrink. Which you can get here Doom9 For free Compress it to 4.0gb and then demutiplex encode the m2v file in Plus 2.5 and load this template it will reduce the size in half if not more with no quality effect that i can tell, have been using it for a long time..Of course you will need to encode ac3 audio to mp2 multiplex and now you have average file size of 1.9 to 2.5 est...Depends on length of movie..For example i have lord of the rings return of the king down to 3.1gb with no quality loss..Remember this is for home use only Obey all copyright laws..I did not write this template and am not taking credit, it can be found @kvcd
