Is there a way to config the settings of USB-UIRT that GB-PVR uses to send channel numbers to the Sat Receiver? Kinda like the SageTV remote ini file, that you can changes the count and timing ...etc.?
I am having trouble letting GBPVR tune to the right channel (it learns fine, but there is no way to TEST the learning) so I make a fake recording and wait for it, then it looks like GB-PVR (or more accurately, USB-UIRT) sends the wrong channel number (I want 1 0 7, it sends 0 0 4 oe soemthing).
I used to have GB-PVR version 205, and it was working fine. But I needed to r-install wondows and eveything, and now isntalled the latest GB-PVR (ver 214 I beleive?), and things look a little different now
Is it something from GB-PVR (new version)? Or USB-UIRT? Or Girder?
I think the channel numbers are GB-PVR issue (AND USBUIRT) so it would be nice to know if I can edit some file to cofnig the USB-UIRT behavior...
When it is about time to enjoy my first HTPC, now I have huge remote control problems..
My recordings, scheduled through the web interface are not recording. The web interface says "recording" during the program, but there is no file in the default directory (F:/videos), nor anywhere else. I've tried restarting the recording service, deleting all pending recordings, and readding them, to no avail. I'm using the latest rev.
Just downloaded GBPVR, and I am truly excited about getting this up and running. The time has come for me to invest in the tuner cards. It seems as though the Hauppauge PVR-250 is the more popular model, however the Avermedia M179 is about half the price. Since I am running on somewhat of a budget, this model is really attractive to me, however, I need to get some input from the experts!! Thanks for everyone's input and time!
i have 2 questions I was wondering if anyone could help me with.
The 1'st one is, where does GBPVR store it's information about recordings and what is the format for this?
the second is related, can the recording shedule of GB-PVR be controlled by an external application. or is it possible to have an external application generate a file that GB-PVR uses for it's recording schedule ?
i have an HP Pavillion zd7000 w/ MCE and the tuner is a USB tuner made by emuzed, its their Bali USB tuner with an hp sticker on it. i'm almost 100% sure its not compatible with the generic GO7007SB.
so could gbpvr add this to the list of supported tuners
I've got a WinTV 350 that locks up when playing back recorded items. Trouble is, it doesn't always do it. I've got the latest drivers from Hauppauge, and for my video cards, and the latest DirectX drivers, and it still does it.
Also can't get my Hauppauge remote to work. Should I be running IR32.exe or not?
Also what other keyboard shortcuts are available apart from CTRL-Q, R and F. I seemed to discover that CTRL-P did something, but was unable to investigate furthur because my machine then locked up. (and couldn't even kill the process in task manager)
Is there also a One-Touch "Record now" button at all? Or something to stop recording something that is in progress?
Is it also possible to run this program at all without having to use EPG? because that means being hooked up to the internet .. what it you don't want to do this? Doesn't seem to be a way.
I'd love to donate some money to you Sub, but there are just too many niggles about this program at the moment, and I've spent half my weekend fiddling away with it and not getting very far!
After recording a game of soccer; the quality on my TV-out was pretty bad. Especially the quick pans are killing it. After manually de-interlacing the recording (with TMPGEnc) quality improves; but a TV-out should be able to play interlaced video? Isn't it?
Any suggestions on improving TV-out quality on interlaced video?
My specs:
- PVR250
- Pundit-R with integrated video and TV-Out ( Ati 9100 IGP / RS300 )
- Celeron 2.4
This version (hopefully) lists the power management schemes and allows you to change to a different power scheme on your machine (provided you are allowed to do it - not sure what happens if you are not)

It is using the same layout as Comics/RSS. Enter key only works on the left side panel to choose which Mode/Scheme/Timer you want.
Currently the only Mode's which are enabled are Hibernation and Suspend. It is also doing the "nice" way in that it requests all applications to hibernate/suspend.
I'll try and get the Timer mode working, then the selectable power schemes.
Hi all,
I know I ask a lot of propably stupid questions, but it is the only way I can learn about this program.
What is web scheduling?
Does it mean that I can schedule recordings from another computer/location? For instance if I am abroad, but would like to record a program in my native country, with my stationary computer.
How do I get started with web scheduling?
- any links, tips etc. is greatly appreciated
I have been having terrible problems trying to get either videos or live tv to play on my mvp
Everything else worked fine
I was using a 100mb usb connected ethernet card and crossover cable
I fiddled with all sorts of things changing delays and codecs etc
by the way does changing playback codec make any difference when playback is on the mvp ?
as a last resort I changed my ethernet connection to an old 10mb isa based 3com ethernet card
and much to my surprise it worked perfectly
according to performance manager mp3 play back takes about 12.5% network utilisation
and video / live tv seems to be about 85%
curiously these seem to equate pretty much with the loading seen on the usb connected card (but obviously 10 times higher as the card is 10 times slower)
yet the usb card simply could not apparently deliver the data quick enough
Sub is there anything in the logs that would confirm this ?
so if anyone else like me is having problems with there mvp then have a look at your network connections
once again Sub thanks for a fine piece of software
