Support for the Xcard's remote control
Posted by: cookie.dk - 2004-08-28, 10:50 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (3)

I do only have a Xcard, no pvr-card.

I would like to have a movie-jukebox where I can administrate which movie to be seing via tv.

So, support for the Xcard's remote control would be nice.

From this pdf on page 39 and 40, you can read the remote control codes.

When resumeing a film, I find that the resume/restart option does not move. It does work but you have to guess with one its on.

  aspect ratio
Posted by: cidc - 2004-08-28, 08:58 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

hi all, Ive checked the old posts so i dont think this has been asked.

I have lots of films either in 4:3 or 16:9.

4:3 play fine, however when playing 16:9 and aspect ratio is all wrong. Also changing it in the config program does not work either.

Im using a 4:3 tele. I also use a MVP and well - same problem there.

Any ideas

More of Jorm's plugins now available
Posted by: sub - 2004-08-28, 06:03 PM - Forum: Developers - Replies (9)

I've uploaded three more of Jorms plugins to the plugins page http://www.gbpvr.com/plugins.html

Each of the plugins also contains a txt file briefly describing any extra steps you'll need to perform to get the specific plugin running.

  Hauppauge DEC2000-t
Posted by: JediNight2002 - 2004-08-28, 05:29 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (4)

Is the Hauppauge DEC2000-t supported?

Are there any plans to support it?

Has anyone tried GP-PVR with it?

Order of top level menu items
Posted by: Markus Schmitz - 2004-08-28, 10:29 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

After next to all plugins, they appear in the menu in some wild order. Is there a way to change this?

Example:

The shutdown plugin should be somewhere at the end, the jukebox plugin should be next to the music library.

Also is there a way to rename a plugin?

Thanks in advance,

Markus

  A general MVP question
Posted by: SimonP - 2004-08-28, 02:49 AM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (2)

I've just got my MVP and am very pleased with it but when displaying MPEG1 (music) videos, there's a black band at the bottom of the screen. Does everyone else get this too? It looks as if maybe the picture is being pushed up by 2 inches (on a 28" WS TV) although it's fine for MPEG2 files and the normal GB-PVR screen.

It happens using the Hauppauge software, as well as under GB-PVR, so it's clearly something wrong at the MVP end but I thought I'd ask here anyway as you're all using it too.

Also, is there any way of adjusting GB-PVR to fill the screen? There's a small border around it at all times.

  A bug!
Posted by: SimonP - 2004-08-28, 02:42 AM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (3)

I've just got myself a MediaMVP and am amazed at how well it works with GB-PVR, nice work Sub!

One little problem though, video files with an apostrophe in the filename crash the MVP version (but not the straight one). It fails with a .NET Framework error. This should be easy to replicate but if not, let me know and I'll check it again for more details.

I'm using the latest beta version of the MVP software/drivers from the web site.
