Fresh installation of Kodi 18.1 crashes when the NextPVR plugin tries to access the NPVR server on my network.
I installed Kodi 18.1 on my HTPC;
I installed the NextPVR plugin (v3.3.13);
I configured the NextPVR plugin (server 192.168.0.12/8866);
When I activate the plugin, Kodi crashes!
When I restart Kodi, the plugin starts to retrieve the server info and during this time Kodi crashes.
On the same HTPC machine, I use Kodi 17.6 without any problem.
Logs as attachments.
Kodi log stops on the line:
Code:
ERROR: CCurlFile::Open failed with code 404 for http://192.168.0.12:8866/public/LiveStreams.xml?sid=25dd967926f74ff1990e0fc9506c0211:

Leia client freezes on exit from live TV, with Windows 10 Pro eventually asking whether to wait or close program. Waiting for several hours seems to make no difference. This is a repeatable situation. Backend logs for latest event attached, Kodi client logs at https://paste.kodi.tv/beluguzupa.
First, thanks for producing such a superb program.
However, I would like to bring to your attention an issue with using the <LanguagePreference#> options.
If set to 'eng' for example, it chooses 'eng, Visually Impaired' over 'eng' by default if they both exist.
The issue can be worked around by using ALT-G and choosing the correct one, but it is slightly annoying having to do this. It has existed since at least 3.6.6 as that was the version I was still using. I upgraded to 4.2.3 to find out if the issue had been fixed, but it made no difference.
I had some problems a week or so agao which I thought was solved.
Checking Npvr TV Guide in the morning shows 6 days and no recurring programs identified in red.
Then i can do any of the following which will come up with 7 days and recurring programs now identified.:-
Stop and restart Npvr
Go to settings and exit
Manually set any program in the guide to record.
Npvr is scheduled to refresh TV Guide at 5 am. This is from XML file made by EPG collector at 3am and written to C/Tvguide/TvGuide.xml. EPG Collector file is updating ok. Npvr guide can be manually updated from this ok.
G'day...I have a couple of questions regarding the native EPG process in NPVR. I find that when I pull EPG data from SD through NPVR, some of the shows are off on the EPG. However, when I use a grabber tool SD gives me some options one of which allows the data to be pulled using UTC and all the shows line up just fine. Is there a plan for the future release to allow the end user to stipulate UTC when pulling EPG data?
Currently using the latest NPVR release most of my EPG data is set to pull from SD automatically which is an awesome method. I only use the grabber tools to pull some specific channels that I cannot get through DTV or other provider. The problem there of course is that I have to remember to run the tool at certain periods.
I guess I could just use the native SD in NPVR to pull the most common channels that do not present a timing issue and use the grabbers to get the remainder but then here again I am left to run the grabber at certain periods. I do have task scheduler set to run some now but again it would be real cool to have NPVR run it all. Any thoughts? Thank you and cheers!!
Here are some feature requests that I would love to see in the Android app
1- All options when recording a season (only new, all, how many episodes to keep, etc.)
2- Have a option in the settings, if selecting a live channel to tune directly to the show (in the guide) instead if have the option come up. Also if long pressed on live channel bring up the options (watch, record, record series). But keep it how it is now if you select a show that is airing in the future.
3- When watching live TV if I press up on the remote change the channel up and if I press down change the channel down (or inverse, ie. if I push up, change channel down)
4- When watching a recorded show if I press left or right on the remote start skipping forwards or backwards, if I press up or down skip ahead or back 30 seconds ( or have a setting to set the skip amount)
5- On the guide have an area at the top or bottom that shows the info of the highlighted show
6- When leaving a live show to go into the guide (or channels and recordings) have a small windowed veiw of the channel still playing
7- Have an option of what screen the program opens into, and to start playing the last channel automatically
8- The ability to edit shows recording options after they are set
In my opinion, if all this was in the Android app it would be the best TV app available. I really appreciate all the hard work that has been put into nextpvr so far and I hope the great work continues.
If I had any Android programming abilities I would offer you some help, unfortunately I really don't have any.
Thanks for any future updates you feel like releasing. If you need another beta tester I would love to help out.
EPG auto update for my IPTV service xml failed 3 nights in a row. It never fails if I hit update EPG in settings. The funny thing is it seems random because I have the exact same IPTV account with same username/settings on another pc running at another house(different update time). This morning that one succeeded while mine failed, yesterday morning they both failed. My service only offers 24 hours ahead of epg so if I don't catch it I lose my recordings for the day. I should probably switch to SD and map my channels because 24 hours sucks anyway but since lots of people use IPTV xml I figure why not throw this out there? Thanks.
