I noticed that if I pause show with timeshift set to timeshift mode.. I am unable to return to Live TV unless either push STOP on the screen and restart Live TV or I exit back to the Main Menu by rightclicking on Main menu and then reselect Live TV. My plan was to right click and select LIVE TV while watching from the buffer yet that does not work in that situation. I can skip forward and backward in the buffer but unless I hop forward by endlessly clicking on the right arrows in the OSD there is no other way to get back to live TV. Is that the intended action?
So I tried to record/watch while being behind today's super long UFC event and after an hour each time the recording stopped. It's an iptv stream on a live event channel with no epg info. I don't think it was the stream cutting out because when I was watching on the live channel slightly behind it would just jump to live when it happened not cut out. The log said "Past end time of recording" when this would happen and I could start another manual recording no problem. Anything I can do to change this behavior?
G'day...well for a long time now everything was working so sweet but today (about 2 hours ago) I started receiving the old "Unable to communicate blah, blah" stuff. However, this time only my IPTV channels are effected. My local channels are fine so I have tried to find the area that would be the problem area and no luck. I have not upgraded to the latest version, I am using 4.2.3., but I don't think that is the problem since it has been working fine up to now. My log file is atached.
I opened a thread on the Kodi forums at https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...pid2834711 and posted the Kodi logs there but was asked to post the NPVR ones here. So that's what I'm doing. Gist of the issue is that watching live TV on a Win 10 Pro/Leia client results in buffering problems within seconds of starting to watch and regardless of channel. If I record the broadcast, the recording works fine.
With the advent of 5.0 looming, i was wondering if there has been any consideration into installing NextPVR on a NAS device?
QNAP already has a DVR solution which is quite limited. I like the performance and function of NPVR better and it makes more sense to have the drives local on the DVR instead of across a network. Qnap also has a PLEX app which works well for movies, but their interface is not suitable to me to store TV recorded programming. It might also make the platform easier to control if you know the hardware it will be working on. I'd even consider Synology if I knew a solution existed.
Due to circumstances beyond my control I need to reinstall Windows 10. What files do I need to save from NPVR if I want to preserve my recording settings and channels settings and reinstall them later? Advice appreciated.
I am running NextPVR using an HDHomerun and a cable card on a Windows 10 network. I am unable to stream live TV successfully for any length of time as the stream will stop with the message "A network error has caused the video download to fail part-way". It happens on Ethernet and WiFi connections. The stream will start again and run for an undetermined amount of time if the browser window is refreshed but then the same error will occur. There is no issues using Edge browser but I prefer to use Chrome instead if I can. I have recreated the error on other Windows 10 machines on the same network also. It even occurs on the same machine the NextPVR server is installed. It works fine using Kodi so it's most likely related to the Chrome browser. I have inquired at Google about his but to no avail. I'm just wondering if anyone here has come across this issue. Thank you very much an assistance.
My old signal generator has died and gone to the great electronics graveyard in the sky. The device was an important part of the project, and helped me emulate DVB/ATSC signals from various parts of the world during the development of NextPVR. It also allowed me to use files captured by other users, to reproduce their tv signals locally, so I could look at their problems in the development environment etc.
Unfortunately this type of test equipment is not cheap. If you use NextPVR regularly and are in a position to donate (and havn't already done so in the last year or so), I'd appreciate you hitting the 'donate' button above to help fund the purchase of a new device.

FYI: Some US based users had issues sending money using Paypal linked to their bank account, but it went through fine when they used their Credit Card. This is some limitation with PayPal when sending money internationally.

After this error, every NPVR attempt to schedule an existing recurring recording fails with either the parsing error or the System.NullReferenceException seen above.
The parsing error always refers to the Hex 0x18 value.
What do I need to do or check to resolve.
(I am familiar with editing the database if needed)
