  need help w/ direct.ini for Yuan MPG600
Posted by: barryland - 2004-07-16, 01:35 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

I have a revision 2 Yuan MPG600 (the purple one). I am trying to make this work in GBPVR but am having little or no success.
The section of my direct.ini that I have cobbled together by guesswork and with the help of this thread;

http://gbpvr.com/cgi-bin....hl=yuan

looks like this;

[Python 2]
FILTER_CROSSBAR=Python 2 Crossbar
FILTER_CAPTURE=Python 2 Capture
FILTER_TV_TUNER=Python 2 TV Tuner
FILTER_TV_AUDIO=Python 2 TV Audio
FILTER_ENCODER=Python 2 Encoder
PIN_CROSSBAR_VIDEO_TUNER_IN=Video Tuner In
PIN_TVTUNER_ANALOG_VIDEO_OUT=Analog Video
PIN_TVTUNER_ANALOG_AUDIO_OUT=Analog Audio
PIN_TVAUDIO_TV_AUDIO_IN=TVAudio In
PIN_TVAUDIO_TV_AUDIO_OUT=TVAudio Out
PIN_CROSSBAR_AUDIO_TUNER_IN=Audio Tuner In
PIN_CROSSBAR_VIDEO_DECODER_OUT=Video Decoder Out
PIN_CAPTURE_ANALOG_VIDEO_IN=Analog Video In
PIN_CROSSBAR_AUDIO_DECODER_OUT=Audio Decoder Out
PIN_CAPTURE_ANALOG_AUDIO_IN=Analog Audio In
PIN_CAPTURE_I2S_OUT=Video YUV
PIN_CAPTURE_656_OUT=Audio PCM
PIN_ENCODER_I2S_IN=Video YUV
PIN_ENCODER_656_IN=Audio PCM
PIN_ENCODER_OUT=Video/Muxed Out
PIN_WRITER_INPUT_IN=Input

I am particularly unsure of evrything above that includes the word "ENCODER". That was just guesswork.

As per the thread above, I also reregistered the three dll's listed. And rebooted the machine after changes were made.

The only output I get when I select LiveTV is a black screen if I turn on VMR instead of Overlay. (I am using the cyberlink dvd decoder and encoder)

  distorted sound
Posted by: bs007 - 2004-07-15, 10:02 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

On most channels, especially BBC 1 and 2, the sound is distorted. I get this in GB-PVR during playback and live tv, as well as in Xplayer 2.1. But in Xplayer 1.2 the sound is good! I thought I had seen a post earlier on how to change the volume but I can't find that anymore. Perhaps it was not in this forum.

  Overscan adjustment
Posted by: festus - 2004-07-15, 06:42 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (4)

I have noticed that video playback looks substantially different through GB-PVR than the standard Hauppauge software in that it seems to stretch farther into the overscan areas of my TV. Because of this, the Hauppauge software looks significantly better on my TV using the same recorded video files. The effect is so intense that the playback icons actually go partially offscreen.

Is there any way to configure the playback area of the screen, so that the video does not stretch into the overscan area?

  Three Questions
Posted by: tvcardseeker - 2004-07-15, 06:35 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

First of all let me state that this is a terrific piece of software!

Now for my three questions:

1) Can you search the program listings for a particular show? (i.e. "American Chopper&quotWink
2) Can you set up a Manual Record and then change the dates/times? I can't seem to figure out how to do this?
3) In the program manager, can you change the date by any other method than the right arrow? If I want to go ahead three days, can I just change date? My machine is in another floor of my house, and the remote isn't an option for me. I'm remoting with Remote Desktop (XP)

Thanks!

  Keyboard Help
Posted by: valiamarkais - 2004-07-15, 05:00 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Where can I find a list of the keyboard shortcuts?

I have figured out that up and down change the channels and esc sends me back to the last menu.

How do I pause TV, fast forward, rewind, show current program menu, and anything else I might want/need to do?

Oh, and if you can just point me in the direction of the Fine Manual (AKA... RTFM), that would work fine with me as well.

Thanks,

-VA

  Why is it always recording?
Posted by: Rbbronapncil - 2004-07-15, 03:48 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I have a aver m150 and I finally got it working properly using the overlay manager for playback.  The problem is that when watching Tv or listening to the net radio it creates recordings.  Why is  it recording these programs if I dont use the schedule or manual record features? I cant find anyway to stop this in the configuration settings. Thanks for any help.

  Can't update EPG
Posted by: jarodl - 2004-07-15, 02:43 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (8)

I just installed GB-PVR, but I haven't been able to get it to work yet.  When I try to update the EPG, I get an error message:
Your EPG source does not appear to be configured correctly.  Please check the EPG Source Settings and try again.

My EPG source is set to Zap2it, and in the settings, I have typed in my user name and password (which work on the zap2it website), and the Pacific time zone.  I have saved the settings, shut down GB-PVR, restarted, and tried to update the EPG, but I get the same error message.

I have an Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-350.  I live in Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA.  My recording source is set to Direct Recording Plugin. I have set my capture card to Hauppauge 250/350, Country to CANADA, Board # to Capture Device #1, and source to internal tuner.

Any ideas?

Jarod
