Hi sub,
I have the Xcard installed with the PVR 350 & it is working fabulously ! NO CRASHING with OSD !!
The picture quality is excellent, so thanks for the advice on this one.
The only issue i have is with the scrren position of the graphics of the OSD - they are too far off to the left & right
the setup section of the Xcard in the config app doesn't give the option of left right offset ( they are greyed out ) , only top & bottom have available settings.
It would be good to have a notification of a recording occuring in the taskbar, with the option of seeing the next scheduled recordings when you hover your mouse over it..
what do you think ??
I have been opening the app and going to the recordings page to check to make sure they are occuring.
Hi all,
Just started using the program. I downloaded the weather plugin and installed it ok. Set the 'zip-code' as per the instructions (UKXX0072 for Ipswich, UK). At first I was able to get weather details. Then I exited the program and restarted it. When I now select weather, I get the message window reading 'Error: Input string was not in a correct format.'
I've checked the plugin settings, they are still the same - any ideas?
Have anyone else got error: input string was not in a correct format.
If I use Finnish as my locale, I get this error when trying to use e.g. DiskSpace or Wheather plugin. With English (United States) both plugins work correctly.
I have the shuttle SB52G with a PVR 350. GBPVR wont start if I select it as the decoder. GBPVR states that the PVR 350 is not found. WINTV 2000 works (although I'm getting random 0xC5 errors). Any clues? I have XP Pro SP1a with all the updates from Hauppage.
I'm having difficulty getting GB-PVR to start on my media machine. I've tried it on 2 other machines with no problem, but my media machine just won't run it.

I'm using the S-video output from the NForce to the TV for my monitor, which is about the only difference between my three home machines. The only other difference is NForce vs NVidia AGP cards. I chose the NForce platform to save space & fan noise, since it already had TV-out, 6-channel audio, and 3D-acceleration.
There are three problems I'm running into:
- When in config, and applying new changes, the software throws an exception when restarting the server. This occurs on ALL my machines.
- When starting the config on the media machine, it throws an exception because the Access DB is not the right version (but still appears to work).
- After configuration (tried many options, including different window managers), I launch GB-PVR. On the media machine, it simply doesn't launch. It doesn't show up in the task manager, nor produce any exception dialogs. Just doesn't start.
I had a 1/2hr show scheduled to record. I was watching it at the same time (Live TV). It ended up only recording 10.5MB of it, needless to say which was basically NONE of the show. What happened??
How about favorite channels? I know you can manually take out the ones you don't want (and believe me, I have) but generally there's only about 6-8 channels I watch all the time. It would be cool to see "at a glance" what's on my 6-8 channels, then if there's nothing, switch it to all channel mode.
