I'm using 0.18. I've tried two recordings since I installed it (one regular, one quick record) and the 2 minute padding I've set isn't being added. From gbpvrrecordingservice.exe.log:

As you can see from the file name, Letterman runs from 2335 to 0037, and that's when the recording starts and ends. No padding is added.

I have an Asus DigiMatrix box that would make a PERFECT PVR, except for the fact that all the hardware is onboard and non-upgradeable.   I bought it to try with MythTV - which is a bear to set up on non-standard hardware. Just on the off chance, I decided to try some of the Windows based software packages. Snapstream works, but I am very interested in the GB-PVR project, as it seems that ultimately it will be a GREAT piece of software. The capture card in the DigiMatrix is a LifeView 3000, as far as I can tell (software encoding, yech) - and thoughts on supporting this type of hardware? The box is nice because it is so compact and looks like a stereo component. (too bad they didn't put better components in it! What are your thoughts regarding supporting WDM drivers?

Since I turn my computer off at night (when there is nothing to record), could code be added that will spawn a new thread and update the EPG when the GBPVR recording service is activated for missed updates?

Hi, I'm new here on the forum because I have ordered a Sigma Xcard and want to take full advantage of this card and the optional RGB to Scart cable after experiments with software decoders with there bad quality. The last 4 years I had a Hollywood Plus so I expect even better quality on my tv.

I also look at Joveplayer but GB-PVR could be also very interesting.

However, I tried to download the GB-PVR software to get familiar with it but after clicking the download link I get the message that the server is not found. This appears since last sunday evening...

Finaly my wishlist for the future, DVB-S (with CI/CAM) support and perhaps ATI AIW 9000 support.

Is there also a possibility to connect winamp to GB-PVR so I can use the MP3PRO features for my 8000 mp3Pro's?

in live-tv, with activated sbe, i somehow cannot rewind or forward. when i press the &quot;&gt;&gt;&quot; - button on the hauppauge - remote, i get the actual tv-picture paused. when i rewind i get the picture from the start of buffered movie. pressing play stops to main menu and i have to start live-tv again.

in dvd-playback i have the problem, that i cannot play back in normal speed once i have fast forwarded or rewinded. pressing play doesn't make any changes, pressing pause pauses the movie but when i play it again, it is still forwarding or rewinding.

i am newbie to GBPVR - i must say this software is amazing and kudos to the developer(s).

i have one thing to say - the software is very slow on channel change. the documentation clearly says that it records to HDD and ... and so it is poor in using to watch live TV, but still i think the performance could be improved. i have tried GotTV and it also does the same recording to HDD, however it is pretty fast on channel changes. so is there anything that could be done to improve performance? thanks.

First I want to say - thank You for the fine piece of software.

I just bought the Hauppauge WinTV USB 2.0. And the same day you released the version 0.18 of the software with support for my new hardware! Super nice.

I have tried several times to use my laptop as PVR by marking a few programs in TVguide and then closing the user interface.
The service is ofcourse running.

Then I make my computer go into standby mode.

When I get back after the programs has been sent, I see that the recorded video is distorted like the tuner can't find H or V sync and the colors go mad. Like a really bad antenna.

This does not happen if I leave the computer running so it doesn't have to resume from standby.

Comp is Dell lattitude 840
internal usb 1.1 port
the driver for the hauppauge is version: 2.52.1.21351

I will try and see if there is a newer driver for the hardware and maybe move the usb to a PCMCIA usb2.0 card.

I had the same issue with 0.17i and still with 0.18 but when I schedule a recording using the MVP it shows up in the recording schedule but actually fails to record. If I use the pc to do the scheduling of the recording then this works fine, any ideas?

I'm having a problem with the &quot;record entire season&quot; option. I'm trying to record a show on the comedy network at 1:00am. the problem is that the same show is on the same channel 3 different times during the day so I end up with 3 recordings of the same show.

Is there a way to have it work like a VCR where you can tell it to record every weekday at 1:00am on channel XXX no matter what the guide said? This would also be nice if I forget to update my xmltv guide.

Does GB-PVR support being installed on Windows Server 2003?

Also does anyone know if the Hauppauge PVR250 is supported on W2K3?
