I have a PVR 350. I'm using two sources. The first is basic cable straight into the rf input. Channels on basic are 1-100. I used the EPG to load the channels and then I disabled all the channels above 100.
My secound source is the digital cable box into the SVideo of the 350. I used the EPG to load the channels and then disabled the channels from 1 - 100.
The reason I have it set up this way is the 350 tuner will not receive premium channels so all I should need to do to schedule a recording on a premium channel is set the record on the channel using the program guide as normal, and also set to record using the program guide on the cable box.
I believe the way this should work is if I select a channel below 101 GBPVR should use the basic cable source and tune to the selected channel. If I select a channel above 100, say HBO 241, then gbpvr should select the digital cable box source which is S-Video. Then I would need to use the cable box remote if I want to change channels.
Problem: If I am on channel 5 and press channel 241 it stays on 5. If I press 255 it will switch to SVideo. It seems it does not recognize all availabe channels above 100 as valid channels. I've varified that the channels are enabled. On a few instances when it's been able to switch channels, I was still receiving audio from the previous channel. This only happens when I change channels that cause it to change sources.
Is there something else I should check on my configuration?
We need someone with artistic talent to create custom weather icons for the weather plugin. Take a look at the 12 weather icons in the blue skin. That's what we need replaced.
- sort buttons for music/video/recordings (by title,by record date)
- display <sub-title></sub-title> from XMLTV listing
- display time in more places (handy to know how much time before recording starts)
Just wanted to let you know your work is appreciated, and to get this on the 'official wishlist'.
I'm a so-so programmer of mainly SQL and Zope background. Â If I can help in the work, give me a holler.
Hi,
I am a new user of GB-PVR and I have a major problem with the tv viewing and recording. I use WinXP, PVR350 and the WinTV2000 and can watch and record tv through that application. I load tv schedules in the GB-PVR with o2grabber and it works fine (can view schedule). I've selected the PVR 350 and Sweden (where I live) in the Direct Recording Plugin. However when I try to watch though GB-PVR it seem that the application selects the wrong tuning frequencies. Can you override this? I know there are several topics on OSD but I am not sure they concern my problem. Â
When watching live tv it would be nice to able to push a button that puts it into record mode instantly, then if you come out of live tv or push the button again it stops recording and adds the recording to the recordings folder.
The record button could be a good button for this.
The reason for this is when I am watching tv sometimes I only want to capture say a replay of a goal or try. Â But the time you have set a manual recording the moment has passed.
The file could be named using the channel name and progam name.
Thanks once again, its nice to see GBPVR taking shape. Only wish I could do something to help.
