I picked up a PVR-250MCE card. It does not have the Hauppauge remote, but does have the FM radio. I do have a MCE remote. Is there anyway yet to use this remote?
I just found your project and I must say it looks very good so far. I too am working on a Windows based PVR, but I have just begun. I see I have a LOT of catching up to do
My testing hardware just decided to hose me, but when it's back up you can believe I will be giving GB-PVR a test run.
It's nice to see this project. I was getting tired of seeing Windows have MCE and a couple commercial offerings while Linux had the best ones, free and/or open source to boot.
I can't imagine you will be going open source any time soon if ever, but if you decide to build a team in the short term to work on it I suspect you would be hearing from me
I only have a mediamvp. I installed the latest ver of gbpvr, to see what it could do. The menu screen is a bit off on the tv screen. Too far to the upper left, cutting some or it off. The movies I have in mpeg play, but are much more grainy than the mediamvp software. Before I buy a tv card, the 250, I want to make sure this software is worth it (getting a 250 tv card, that is). Also, does the gbpvr software let you list mpeg files in a list, no thumbs?
thx
It would be very nice to have the currently playing song always shown in the gbpvr window (both music library menu and main menu, possibly other menus as well). Time elapsed and remaining would be nice too...
I just came across GB-PVR and have to say I'm mightily impressed! Is the ability to manually record a program in the wings? We can't always get EPG data in OZ, so the ability to set the channel, start time and finish time is something invaluable.
Maybe there is already a way but I am after a quick way to jump to parts of directory listings in the music/video directories.
At current if I am creating a queue of files to be played, it takes about 2 miniutes to scroll from top to bottom as I have quite a few. So if I want to queue a 'Zak Wilde' song then a 'U-God' song for instance this would take 4 miniutes especially as it jumps back to the begining of the listing again each time you go up a directory.
Sub I know you have allot to do , but please can this be added to the list, please, go on you know you want to .....
I did a fresh install of 0.15e tonight and am getting and error when I attempt to open the XMTV directory configuration box:

I would really appreciate the possibility to be apple to control the size and position of GBPVR all included so I can place it on my extended desktop corresponding to my graphic cards tvout ⦠same opportunity as is in myHTPC.
