I have been having frequent problems with programs i have set up to record Failing. And once they have failed I can't delete them from my Recordings menu. I've tried rebooting and shutting down, and still once i try to delete these failed programs from my recordings menu they still remain in my recording list. I currently have my screensavers and energy saving turned off, so that it wouldn't interrupt recordings. I'm currently running a Hauppauge 350. Any help?
Since I have an XCard and a PVR 350, would it be possible to take the SVideo out of the XCard to the SVideo in of the PVR350 and then use the Svideo out of the PVR350 for output to the TV? I'm sure it's not possible under the current programming. I was just wondering if this is a possible via some code changes.
Hi there, before I start off on a wild goose chase, I thought I'd ask if anyone had had this problem before:
I have WinXP SP1, Duron 1800, 512MB RAM, Hauppage 350.
I have set up gb-pvr to view my cable channel, which it is capturing via composite signal through svideo cable.
I am watching the output through the dedicated output on the 350 card, on my TV.
After watching live tv for a short while (say 30 seconds), my PC locks up completely. (mouse doesn't even move).
It *could* be coincidence that I tried to use the Hauppauge remote at this time (twice it has crashed like this), this seemed to be what crashed it (I tried the change channel buttons).
I have to power down the PC & reboot. It wouldn't reboot cleanly until I rebooted a few times!
Its a pretty fresh PC build with XP recently installed. I *did* have WinDVD installed, but uninstalled WinDVD and then reinstalled the Hauppauge software/drivers as it suggests on their site, to avoid codec conficts.
Thanks for all the hard work. It keeps getting better, but I still have a few minor requests for a future version.
When I install a new version of GB-PVR, I use an XMLTV file with just the channels I want in the order I want. For some reason, GB-PVR numbers these channels starting at 2, so I have to go in and renumber them. Would it be possible to change this and start at 1?
I would like to see wrap around in a number of places. For example, when I hit channel up when I'm at the last channel, I would like to be taken to the first channel (and the other way around). Another example is the main menu where I would like to be able to jump directly from the last to the first item. Other examples are lists, like recordings.
Can GBPVR turn on the computer if it is off to do a schedueled recording? I want to record a show that will be airing the week before fathers day at 8 am eastern time but will be sleeping. Thanks.
I have tried setting up a manual recording to record a show from mon-fri...it records one show and then dissapears from the "Recordings" list. Am I doing something wrong?

Is is possible to rename the "Cancel" button on the recordings screen to something else? A Cancel button on a form generally closes it, and I have hit the cancel button accidentally with the subconcious intention of closing the form for a specific recording, when I realize I have just canceled the recording. Maybe "Cancel Recording" or "Remove" or something like that. This has frustrated me many times as I have tried to set up manual recordings.
I have a radeon 7000 graphics card, Athlon 2600+ and 512 MB Ram , I run win XP.
I have myhtpc running on the tv out of the graphics card , which has a dvd library in it.
I have a hauppauge 350 in the machine also. I feed the output of this to the AV2 of my tv. (Av1 is the myhtpc output).
If I have gbpvr running, when I try and launch any software DVD program I get errors on the pin connection to the overlay renderer. Is it possible to switch gb pvr to use the 350 out only, or shall I put this in the requests section ?
(In wintv2000 I edited the registry to stop the local playback and only use the 350 tv output).
Theres a great website for UK TV listings - http://www.bleb.org/tv/ - it carries all the terrestrial and major satellite channels and best of all you can download xml directly from it.
I dunno if this would be a problem, but the xml is not in xmltv format.
I use DGShow to grab the listings and convert them to something a bit more friendly
