If I hit ctrl-Q (pause) in video playback, and then unpause to continue watching, the OSD stays on display and doesn't re-hide itself.

have been playing with 007 today. A pretty solid release. Have been able to use scheduled recordings, and my machine wakes up from hibernation to record the program.

I'm switching to GBPVR for all scheduled recordings from now on to really test this out.

Live TV works for about 10 seconds then completely freezes my machine. THis is using VMR9 and the default codec. I have not done anymore investigation into this yet as i need my machine up for a few days

Playback for recoded programs works nicely.

One point, if i record a program and delete it through Explorer, its still listed in GBPVR and I cannot remove it (Under recordings option). Might be useful to be able to delete entries in this case or it checks to see if the mpg is there, if missing maybe remove it automatically or prompt to remove it?

I've tried the TVout offset and have a centred picture now on my TV - the settings I settled on in the end were:

<PVR350OffsetY>20</PVR350OffsetY>

I drew a 3 pixel yellow border around the background and fiddled with the settings until I could see all of the borders.

This is when my TV is in 4:3 mode - perhaps an enhancement would be to be able to set the offset dynamically depending on the format of your TV (mine does 4:3, 14:9, and 16:9) - you could use the "full" button on the remote to cycle through the appropriate sizes?

Also I tried changing the width and height to match the PAL output (720x576) but this caused the picture to remain in the same place all the time even when I set an offset of 400!

I've just upload the v0.0.6 BETA release. As with previous releases, you should uninstall the previous release before installing this one.

- Now able to resize the PVR350 OSD size and video overscan using settings in the config.xml
- Initial support for myhtpc .my files. Looks for metadata.my files in each directory, and uses this in preference to any files found. Still only supports standard media types though - no vob/ifo playback.
- Support for playback of multi part movies. Video 'chain's from metadata.my are now played to consecutively.
- Improved support for MediaMVP.
- Now allow you to use the 'Watch' button from the TV Guide for shows currently playing
- Fixed program name for 'Open With' context menu
- Slightly improved fast forward for both software playback and PVR350. Attempts to do 2x and 8x, but this functionality is very dependant on third party drivers and directshow filters, so there is only so much I can do. My current PVR350 drivers seem to pop and fart when fast forwarding...
- Resolved some of the LiveTV issues with PVR350. Makes it 'sort of' usable, but channel changing is very slow!

Thank you for the great tool! I really like GB-PVR. I have installed it as the standard player in myHTPC for recordings I've made using my Hauppauge PVR-350. I use the tvOut of the PVR all the time (That's why  chose the 350). I particularly like the on-screen display and the use of the Hauppauge remote controller when playing movies. But, as you've asked to test, there are also some issues that need some attention in my opinion:
- The OSD does not dissapear automatically in some cases. Pressing a left or right button on the remote then makes the OSD dissapear after a few seconds.
- Fast forward and rewind buttons on the remote have no effect.
- Sometimes after using pause or skip forward or backward, sound and image are slightly out of sync. This can be resolved in certain cases by skipping backward or forward again.
- The program has no name. This makes that in the windows interface I cannot permanently as sociate .mpg files with GB-PVR. The icon is there in the "Open with..." list, but no name.
- When the OSD is on the TV-screen, there is a slight flicker in the image every now and then. Without the OSD this does not happen.
Now that I've got the entire GB-PVR program (I downloaded setup005c yesterday) I tested that program as well. I REALLY like it. I'm seriously thinking of making it the default htpc-program on my HTPC. But, I can't get Live-TV to work. In the previouw version (005) the program either hung or didn't do anything. 005c switches to live tv for a few moments and then goes back to the main menu. I do not like to use freqcopy as it messes with the registry. Rather I'd like to enter the channels manually in gbpvr. But that didn't work.
I did enter a few channels and found that entry no.1 appeared only after entering entry no.2 ;-) Also, when using internal tuner, there is no add button for channels. Only by first using wintvcap (also installed) and entering one or two channels, and then switching to the internal tuner, turned the add button on.
The manual programming didn't work. However, it seems everything works, only after hitting "record" nothing happens. But I read that is not yet implemented. I would very much like it though.
Closing question is: if I get livetv working, will pause-mode work. That is the killer app for me. If it will work GB-PVR is IT for me!

Anyway, I really like this program you've created. I hope it will develop quickly. At this moment, I think it is more usable than the wintv application (apart from live-tv).

In installed version 005 and it works more or less smoothly now. I will report small issues in a separate report.

"Big" issue is that I can not get LiveTV working. I only get a freezing screen with "Initializing TV Channel".

I investigated this more closely. Important to know is that WinTVCap works perfectly. I use a separate scheduler with WinTVCap and it has been recording shows for two weeks now without problems.

I noticed that when selecting the first channel in my list the small WinTVCap icon in the status bar hints that it is recording from channel 67. When I select the third channel, the icon says it is recording from channel 69.

All available channels are in position 1-35. With the WinTVCap command -c they are always selected without problems. I guess GBTVR does not use that, or wrong. In WinTVCap's ini file I have an empty "Preset" section.

In the GBPVR.MDB file I found the following tables:

In other words: when I want to watch &quot;Nederland 1&quot; WinTVCap tries to record from &quot;67&quot;, and &quot;Nederland 3&quot; goes to &quot;69&quot;. Which is quite weird. The &quot;recording&quot;, I suppose, is for time-shifting, nothing I worry about.

I must say that I re-configured the default Capture source a couple of times, maybe that caused complications which are too much for this version.

Starting from v0.0.5, GB-PVR now supports the Hauppauge MediaMVP as a client. You can use the MVP to do all the normal GB-PVR stuff:

- View the TV Guide and schedule recordings
- Watch movies (MPEG1/MPEG2)
- Listen to music (MP3's)
- Watch Live TV

- enable direct access to Hauppauge remote for PVR350 installation (so GBPVR doesn't have to be in foreground to receive remote control events)
- improved transparency on PVR350. Video no longer dims when showing OSD.
- pressing the GREEN button (or ctrl-G) when watching LiveTV will bring up the Mini Guide. This will show a list of whats currently on the other channels and change to the channel of your choice.
