Hi, New to live tv so might not be using the correct language. :-)
So this is the situation:
I had setup live tv on Kodi using the Xtream-editor add-on and by providing the live tv provider with the "ID" he was able to enable the feed for me and I was able to use IPTV Simple Client Add-on to see the sows and load the EPG automatically. So far so good.
Than I found out that this setup would not support recording and pausing the live streams. So I naturally came upon NextPVR with its Kodi add-on.
I installed it on a Windows PC and started to config it. But when it came to connecting the live tv feed, that I had running using Xtream-editor, in the device setup window, it did not provide the same configuration steps as Xtream-editor.
So I am stuck now until I find the correct procedure to connect with this IPTV provider. I am not sure what to ask him for.
Q1. What do I need to ask the provider for to make this connection happen with his service? (technical language please, so I can forward it to him)
Q2. Any additional info steps needed to make this connection?
I've been experimenting with NextEnd (The work is much appreciated!) and I ran into a problem: It seems to be working, but the logs show that the recording ends right at the normal time, even if the game isn't over yet. Here is the log from tonight's game:

I'm about 99% sure this is my fault. Any tips on what I'm doing wrong here? Thank you!
Hi
I currently have an installed TV card which is getting old and playing up. I use NextPVR with it for all my recording. I was thinking of purchasing a USB type capture device. However I don't know much about them and have a couple of questions.
Can I still use the NextPVR program as the front end capture program and not worry about using the program that comes with the new device?
I assume the USB device downloads the recordings to a designated folder on the PC just as NextPVR does?
Suppose the question really is, can the USB device be used exactly as my current NextPVR set up using the PCI card?
Many Thanks is advance
You have a product that is the only thing I have been able to find that will record IPGTV and do it well.
I have the server installed on my PC and it works like a charm and was easy to install.
Unlike Emby, wasted 3 days, Plex, wasted 2 days, and I could not get them to work. I went to both of their support boards and saw hundreds of post having the same problems.
With IPTV getting ready to or already exploding why don't you or can you write the NextPVR server to load onto a Nvidia Shield and let the Nvidia do all the work, instead of having the server on 1 PC and the client on Nvidia.
I have spent 2 days trying to get my Nvidia Shield to see my PC, no luck and again I see a lot of post here on your forum asking the same questions.
I would be more than happy to pay for the product now that I see it works just not on my Nvidia.
Any plans to rewrite the NextPVR Server for Android TV or Nvidia??
If not you will be missing a massive niche that needs an easy to install and a program that works as a DVR for IPTV.
The person that does this first is going to make a lot of money.
Asking for help here as it seems to be more active than the comskip forums.
Since we are unable to add post/pre padding in seconds, I have both set to 1min. I have been trying to figure out a way to get comskip to skip the first ~50 seconds and have tried a few commands but nothings seems to work, dont care for the end of the recording.
I have been playing with these values but have not been successful, anyone have any ideas?
Code:
added_recording=60
delete_show_after_last_commercial=0 ; set to 1 if you want to delete the last block if its a show and after a commercial
delete_show_before_or_after_current=0 ; set to 1 if you want to delete the previous and the next show in the recording, this can lead to the deletion of trailers of next show
delete_block_after_commercial=40 ;set to max size of block in seconds to be discarded, set to 0 to disable
min_commercial_break_at_start_or_end=40
The recording service crashed on my server during recording on 9/24. Best I can tell, from looking at NRecord.Log.3, the mayhem started at 2018-09-24 19:58:00.280 From there, there's an overwhelming amount of info in the file. I don't know just what I'm looking for, so I'm hoping that someone can make sense of all of this and help me understand what happened and if it was a random fluke, or something I need to change on the system. It seems like NPVR was trying hundreds of combinations of tuners to find a way to record the scheduled shows?
On the Recordings screen, it shows that the shows "Bull: The Ground Beneath Their Feet (S03E01)" and "The Good Doctor: Hello (S02E01)" started to record and then failed, and then restarted, at 21:04. Another recording in the same time slot, "Manifest: Pilot (S01E01)" didn't start, and is just marked "Failed", but with an error that I've never seen before. Instead of the red "Recording service restarted during recording" message, it shows info about the HDHR Prime in red: "http://192.168.104.27:5004/tuner2/v612".
The fall TV season is starting, so to keep WAF at its highest, I need to get this sorted. Are there any clues buried in the blizzard of log data?
G'day...I looked through the forum and other places to find my answer but no joy. I was able to import my recordings and the recurring data but I cannot find a way to import the old DB3 file which would contain my channels settings and everything else. Any help? Cheers!
