My NPVR EPG.XML bat was not downloading any XMLTV Stations, only my DBA/ATSC stations. Tried several times including deleting the Cache Folder contents and XML file and re-downloading the Zap2XML file from the internet.
After all that still no XML download. Looked at NPVR Log and found that is wasn't able to locate any of the XML stations. So went to NPVR Settings -Channels and found out that the Channel Data had changed. Now it included all the TV Sub-Stations plus the Main TV Stations.
Changed all my DBA/ATSC Sub-Station TV Channels to the appropriate XML Sub-Station TV Channel and reran the UpdateEPG.bat. It populated all my Main and Sub-Station TV Channels in the NPVR TV Schedule.
Promptly deleted my Task schedule to update the EPG.bat every 6 hours for my DBA/ATSC listings.
I'm cutting the cable cord, not that we had much other than the over-the-air channels anyway with our basic cable package. I'm replacing our HDHR Prime with an HDHR Connect, and of course keeping our Hauppauge 2250 (ATSC) as-is.
So I'm wondering what is the best way to make sure there are no Recurring Recordings tied to the Prime unit after I remove it? At least some of the stations have been merged between our Prime and the 2250, so I would hope I could do the same with the Connect (merge) and that would be good-to-go? I plan to export the recurring recordings before making any changes, but wasn't sure if that file could be easily manipulated (text editor search and replace?) or if there's a better way.
Hello everyone. I have one for you.
Can someone please look at my logs and find out why my video freezes while using ATSC video. It seems to happen when there is lightening out and the video tiles then freezes. The audio continues.
Thank you,
Bruce
When doing a quick record to test the video, I tried to stop the recording and an unhandled exception occurred. I tried again with another show. Then I restarted the recording service with success. I am not sure, but it seems NPVR could not communicate with the HDHomeRun. Thank you.
I built a new computer to replace one of my oldest ones and finally got things installed on it and ready for Prime Time. I had 2 recordings set last night and both were only about a minute long. I can't see anything that stands out in the logs but I suck at reading them.
As I type this I set a recording and it's almost done and appears to be fine. I wondered if something comskip did caused any problems. Would you please check my logs and let me know what you see?
Thanks in advance, logs attached.
I have recently updated NextPVR, and for some strange reason the record or record series has stopped working from within Emby.
It works fine from NextPVR web interface.

From Emby the
Programmes Load Fine
Channels load fine
TV Guide loads fine Recordings Doesn't Load and the image is missing
Schedule works fine
Series Works fine
Selecting record or record series is no longer working

Im not sure if it has anything at all to do with it, but nextPVR is setup with multiple recording locations and has started to use the second one.
Does anyone have any idea why this might be?
I have tried removing and re-installing the Emby plugin, but its still the same. This used to work ...... and now its puzzling me as I like to use it from Emby whilst away from home
I installed 4.2.2 about a week ago and since the recordings from my HD homerun prime now have black bars. Everything else is normal/better. I attached a picture.

Hi, firstly congratulations on a great piece of software, a wonderful alternative to media center.
My suggestion is only a minor one, but would be fantastic for me here in the uk because we have no free guide data that contains original air dates for series etc.
I noticed your software when you click in the guide on a program loads up thumbnails for shows which i presume must come direct from tvdb etc.
Well i was wondering if you include some code to search for the original air date and display it live even if the guide doesn't contain it.
The reason i ask is because I get guide information that does include often the series and program numbers usually in the description, ie (s1 ep2)
sometimes in the guide an episode title is also referenced at the start of the description with a colon ie bart goes school: in this episode....
I wrote a bat file that scrapes the tvdb after I record and uses this information to pick out the original air date from the tvdb but of course this is after i record and would love to see the info before on your guide system.
So maybe you could look at doing the code to do the same as my bat but as you click on a particular program in the guide?
When one right-clicks on the display during recording playback, the context menu has an item "Aspect Ratio" with four options: Auto, Fill, Remove Letterbox and Pillar Box. When playing back recordings made from a VHS tape player using Hauppauge's HD-PVR2 Composite input, the initial display is shown expanded to full width. I always need to select the Auto Aspect Ratio so that the video is shown correctly by adding the vertical pillar boxes to either side. How can I make the setting permanent? I've found two settings in the HDPVR portion of config.xml: <VideoDefaultAspectRatioSDi>4x3</VideoDefaultAspectRatioSDi>, and <VideoDefaultAspectRatioSDp>16x9</VideoDefaultAspectRatioSDp>. There is also a section labeled <Aspect Ratio>...<\AspectRatio>.
