It is time for my HTPC v3. I am looking at either building or using a small/mini form factor pre made. This one has lasted now almost 10 years on about $600 in spend. I doubt my next one will. Trying to keep it reasonable.

I am looking to either again has Next PVR as my main GUI or something else where I can access nextflix, etc....

Ideas, thoughts, wishes, lessons are all appreciated.

I have read all of the forum posts I can find and followed all the steps, yet still have the problem of not having audio for Live TV in Windows 10.

I installed SAF6 and am using LAV decoders.
My settings match the following: http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...n.Decoders
Turned off windows firewall.
Tried recording live TV, and yes, the audio works in the recording.

My log file is attached.

For some reason Blue Bloods on channel 12, CBS, won't set up a recurring recording. If I ask it to record one time it tags it red. But, if I set it for recurring it doesn't tag. The schedule shows the upcoming episode, but doesn't record it. If I call for Record Once it tags red, but then if I try to update it won't let me change the frequency to recurring. All other channels and other programs on CBS, or at least the ones I've tried, work just fine. I get pretty good signal strength on the channel, so don't know what is causing it. I'm only getting a week on Schedules Direct EPG, so maybe if it can't see another episode coming up it can't schedule recurring?

Can someone assist me in why teh status box turns red? I have just one channel playing and it goes red?

As per the title, Live TV playback is all broken up after the update to Win10 1803. I have updated LAV filters to v71 and reinstalled the latest ver of NextPVR, Tried using the MS decoder, re-installed the TV tuner card (Leadtek DTV 1000s) all to no avail.

Had a nightmare - Windows 10 update at the weekend left me with black screen problem, rollback didn't resolve it and I've ended up having to do a Windows reset. NPVR reinstalled etc but a Kodi client running on another PC no longer connects.

The NPVR PC IP address is the same and correctly configured in the Kodi NPVR plug-in. The PIN has been re-entered because I seem to recall that has to be done even if defaulting to 0000. The port is set to 8866 in both the client plug-in and the NPVR backend. When I enable the plug-in, it very briefly (one second or so) flashes a message at top right of Kodi window which, I think, is the usual plugin-in scan for channels.

I'm doing something obvious wrong but I'm blowed if I can work out what it is. I'm quite happy for someone else to embarrass me by explaining Thanks.

I am new in the nextPVR world. Few weeks ago I donwloaded and installed nextPVR, Live TV is working great, but am having an EPG problem and hope that somebody can help me to solve it. First of all a couple of details about the “environment”:

WIN 7 64 bit
Kodi 17.6. as frontend
nextPVR as backend
DVB-S TV-Tuner Digital Devices CINE S2 with twin tuner

The problem is, neither via Kodi nor direct in nextPVR the EPG is updating automatically. My intention is to update the EPG OTA. This works flawlessly when I start it manually in Settings/Channels Update EPG, but if I don’t start it manually nothing happens.

In nextPVR, Settings/Misc, automatically update EPG is activated and I supposed that with this switch, the EPG is updated automatically every time the PC is on, no matter what time is set in the field upfront and no matter if I watch TV or not? By the way, the update method is set DVB/ATSC.

Am I doing something wrong or did I miss an important step?

I had a happy installation of NextPVR, and then suddenly got a green screen on some channels.
Replaced the Hauppauge 1250 card with a 1609 quad. Same situation.

Then I remembered that I did a routine driver update to the video card... changed the hardware thinking that there had been no software changes.

Set the video renderer to Overlay (replacing EVR). Fixed the problem.
A video driver update on the XFX branded AMD Radeon R7 240 series, PCI-E x16, to 18.4.1 had been performed... that was the poison.

Not all bad. I now have a quad tuner in this system.

I have filed a problem report to AMD driver support, as follows:

-> Install the Hauppauge WinTV-1250 or WinTV-quad-1609 with Hauppauge driver package (8/24/2016, 1.58.34237.0) installed and hardware recognized.
-> Have both NextPVR 4.1.x and/or WinTV 8.0/8.5 installed on Windows 10 64-bit. Windows edition not critical.
-> These applications are known to be troublesome if the "Default" video profile is not selected, so be sure to keep "Default".
-> In the config of either/both of the PVR apps, the default Video Renderer type of "EVR" will fail, as follows:

You will have a blank green screen on some channels. Sound OK on all channels.

Setting the Video Renderer to "Overlay" restores the normal moving video. However, now OSD will not appear with the mouse cursor hovering in the video window for live TV. That's normal for the "Overlay" type, but it is a loss of functionality.

Radeon driver revs prior to 18.4.1 did NOT have this issue. This is a regression.
