I am new to using NextPVR, I have moved on from simple client. I have only used the NextPVR addon in Kodi 18. It seems to work with no issues after turning off time shifting. Besides the time shifting is there any reason to go back to 17? Am i missing out on any cool features that 18 might not have yet?
Is there any reason why WOL in X-NEWA does not run on a Fire stick running Kodi? I have not used the setup since the Autumn when I thought WOL worked. It has installed a system update and I updated Kodi to the latest which is the same version used on my two X-NEWA boxes running LibreElec on nettop PCs. After starting X-NEWA nothing happens for 6-7 minutes after which I get a connection error to the specified IP address.
I installed the Advanced WOL app but that gave an error saying it didnt have enough rights to run some of the default settings. I had to disable Ping and set a time limit after which the server should be up so it now tells me the server should be up so I can start X-NEWA. Is WOL in X-NEWA likely to be hiving similar problems?
Tv guide is only showing one day of shows.
I see in Misc 2 settings, EPG update hours. Does this mean EPG is update everyday at certain time?
Or is there any way to show say..week or month tv guide at once?
I noticed that NPVR creates a folder then records program inside that folder.
ex: IF I record ESPN "SportsCenter", NPVR creates "SportsCenter" folder then record "SportsCenter" inside that folder.
Maybe something so obvious?
But how can I prevent NPVR from creating a new folder, and just record in default folder I set?
I am using NPVR with Schedules Direct on a Windows 10 desktop, as a replacement for WMC. I am completely happy with the performance so far. I do have a general question: Is there any way to auto account for delayed broadcasts (subsequent to sports, breaking news, etc.) for recording purposes?
I am looking for some help on why ABC Channels in Melbourne, Australia are not being picked up correctly in Channel Scan. On clean install of NPVR they are showing as unrecognised. The same system / Hauppage quad tuner scans them correctly through WinTV.

With these 'Unknowns' it scans the OTA Guide correctly, but when I start changing the names back to the correct ones the Guide scanning seems to break - reducing to current program only (this is a bit flakey so I am not sure exactly which change causes it). I have included sample of the XML from one of the Unknown channels
Is this an issue with what ABC is broadcasting, or is there a lookup library somewhere that manages it? Not sure where to look. The OTA Guide is pretty good here so keen to get this to a clean and complete install.
I have just checked this on a clean image / install of NPVR and taken the logs from that.
Not really sure what this issue is related to but since it occurs in the guide I figured thats what I'd label it.
I currently use zap2xml to get my guide data. I use the -A parameter which alters the title of new/live episodes to include an * in the title.
It appears that when it alters the title with the *, NextPVR interprets any other listing of the same episode that doesn't have the * as a completely separate show.
The problem I am running into is if a series recording is set up that runs into a conflict, NextPVR does not realize the episode is being aired at a different time to resolve the conflict because it doesn't have the * in the title.
Is there any way for NextPVR to recognize that listings without the * in the title are actually the same show?
is there any way to select what audio stream is used for playback i just tried a recording and by default its playing the stream that is narration for the blind. same for live tv to on that channel
