I noticed that final recorded file is TS file.
I play it with VLC, MPV, etc..
About 30-50% of time I get bad TS file.
Skip, freeze, wrong time shown, fastforward/back skip too much or not work. etc..
When I convert to MP4 with ffmpeg, duration is reduced (meaning) some bad parts in TS.
But MP4 plays with video/audio out sync, but fastforward/back, time, duration all work fine.
It's not my internet, or source of tv channels. I will detail later, if need.
It must be something to do when NPVR access and record, download tv channel, then make TS file.
It's not corrupt file, I see file size, duration, and TS file plays but with problems I mentioned.
So before I share more details, I like to know if others here had such problems before?
If so what was problem? solution?
For many years, I've used NPVR, without any major problems. My current configuration is a Vista box with two DVB-T cards: Hauppauge Win TV MOD7700 DVB-T and TBS 6281 DVB-T2 - this had worked fine for over 12 months, till last night, when I attempted to record several programmes that were broadcast on HD and SD (H264) channels. Once the recordings had finished, NPVR would then report a failure as follows, "No errors, but no data delivered. This is usually because the device failed to lock a signal" and when I check the relevant folder(s), there is a zero byte file.
Before posting, I searched through the forum and tried some of the solutions that had worked for others - disabling the firewall, deleting the tuners and rescanning and also a complete purge of NPR from the computer and then reinstalling the latest release. None of this troubleshooting has made any difference. Can anyone offer any pointers please? I have of course, attached my logs.
I was wondering if there is an easy way to backup the program and putting it on a new computer so I can restore my programs I have set up? I really don't want to have to set up all my programs again LOL
I am having trouble generating a conflict recording to test my code. I tried to schedule a conflict but nextpvr would not let me do it. I also tried reducing the number of turners to see if that would generate one. No go.
Any ideas on how to generate a conflict recording that will result in
/services?method=recording.list&filter=conflict
generating some output?
Sloppy housekeeping on my part may not be a crisis for anyone else.
My failure to delete the recordings that I never got around to watching means that I now have about 3,000 recordings in the database (... I have started to get rid of them, honest).
NextPVR takes about 30 seconds to display the TV Guide and about the same to switch between views in Recordings. This is not an issue for me because I use TV Listings (for the scrollable programme description) and TV Listings/TV Recordings displays everything without delay.
I have been using NextPVR for a couple of weeks now on my Windows 10 64 bit PC. Yesterday morning the program did not launch when I clicked on the icon. I tried a bunch of things to no avail, so I uninstalled and re-installed. During install I get two errors:
1) NRecord has stopped working
StackOverflowException
2) See attached.
When I close out of the second error, install continues and I get a "Installation completed successfully" message
When I try to run the program, once again nothing happens.
I don't see any Windows updates on my PC, I didn;t install anything new on my own and the log is empty.
I have been using NextPVR a couple months. Things were going okay until I canceled a recurring recording program. Now I get a message every 10 - 15 minutes telling me it needs to use the tuner and to exit to the menu. There is NOTHING recording. I've tried fooling it and recording multiple programs at the same time, clearing & reinstalling the channels, restarting many times, etc. I thought I had it once, but nope, it pops up and I loose the program I was watching. I don't want to delete all the recurring recording programs I have set up unless it's going to fix the issue. I very frustrated. Please give me some instructions on how to get this to stop. I have Windows 10, 64 bit. Thanks VERY MUCH for help.
I'm looking for the url for a channel....the service I might be er, trialling, at the end of each month you have ot update a password (boo).....so for the 140ish channels I'm playing with I need to update the url for the password part.
I have been set up with NextPVR for a couple of years and have started having a problem recently that I cannot figure out. Any help would surely be appreciated.
My setup
Windows 10
NextPVR 4.10
2 Hauppauge DualHD USB Tuners and a single WinTV 950q. All recording ATSC off antenna
Using NextPVR as a backend ATSC tuner for Kodi
Basically everything was working fine until a few weeks ago. I would record multiple programs at the same time almost every night.
At some point, any time multiple programs recorded at the same time, at the end of the recording a few things would happen.
1. The recordings would be in the list, but would have either the error "Recording Service was stopped during the recording" or "No error, but no data delivered. This is usually because the device failed to lock a signal". It is possible the second error is due to weak signal on the tuner, but it shouldn't cause the following issue.
2. Any subsequent program would not record with the message "Recording Service not running at recording time"
3. The taskbar running (N) icon would be red even when no recording was taking place at that time. If you try to right click to check the status, nothing will happen
4. If you manually try and restart the NPVR Recording Service, it times out as it will not stop
5. If you try to reboot the PC, you are stopped by windows telling you that NPVR was currently recording even though no recording is shown in the guide or recordings tab
You can restart the PC and everything will be back to normal and work correctly until a multiple recording instance happens and it would go back to the NPVR service locking up again.
I figured it was just a one off thing, so I decided to completely redo my computer from scratch with a fresh Windows install.
I reinstalled everything and tried the multiple recordings at the same time and everything worked great again......
Until last night when it started acting up again. 3/21/18 at the end of the 7:00 hour recordings
Before I restore to see if that fixes the problem I was hoping yall could look at the logs and tell me if there is something that changes that causes this. No windows updates happen prior to this or anything. Just seems to happen out of the blue.
The way I have been testing is on a fresh restart, I do 4 manual recordings for 10 minutes of 4 different channels. All recordings start and seem to record fine. Only at the end of the recording, do the errors show up and the service freezes.
I am thinking about replacing the MediaPortal TV Server with NextPVR.
So I disabled the MPTVService
restarted the PC
installed NextPVR
launched NextPVR
and tried to do a tv channel scan
Sadly NextPVR throws the error 'Failed to start device' for all of my 2 Digital Devices Cine S2
Anyone an idea what is going on here? Logs are attached.
*edit*
I have also attached an image of what the graph looks like that the Media Portal TV Server builds for the Digital Device Cine S2. Not sure why the NPVR log says 'No BDA capture filter for this device' as MP uses BDA as well as you can see.
