I enabled full screen mode and disables animations etc on my PVR Interface. When I right click now I get the MENU showing up. I used to get another pop up letting me get into settings etc.. I can no longer do that. How can I get to the settings from the Keyboard? Or get our of full screen mode?
Hello. I have been using Kodi with NextPVR on the backend for quite some time and it had been working great for nearly two years now. My issue just happened in the last day or so when I try to watch TV in Kodi 17.6 or 16.1 running AndroidTV connecting to a NextPVR 4.0.5 backend. This issue was not present 4.0.4 until yesterday and no upgrade had happened for weeks. I did upgrade it today to 4.0.5 as i thought maybe it was a bug in 4.0.4.
For some reason Kodi will attempt to open the stream on the channel but just constantly spin and hang. The only way i could get kodi to work again was to force stop it. Kodi running from the same server that has NextPVR installed did not exhibit the same behavior. After much testing and seeing if i could figure out what happened, I finally noticed that the Timeshifting feature of the plugin isn't working. Once i disabled that, LiveTV would load again, albeit a little slower than normal. I tried to see if anyone had this issue but i found nothing. I am guessing this is a new issue either with the plugin or with NextPVR so I thought i would post this here and see how far it can go here before i post elsewhere. Anyone else having this issue? I can provide logs, maybe, not sure how to grab them from AndroidTV and put them up here. I did however upload a screenshot of the error that was produced using the kodi log viewer which hopefully helps. Thanks for the help!
When I play recordings from BBC Earth I always get Hungarian audio, probably because that is the first MPEG audio channel. There is an AC3 channel with English audio listed first but NPVR does not select it by default. Was there a PreferAC3 setting somwhere?
I am new to this forum but I have been using NextPVR for a number of years and has been working like a dream. Suddenly, a few days ago, the EPG died for all channels (see below):
But he was using XMLTV. My installation defaulted to DVB/ATSC and I never had to configure anything, so the post didn't help me much.

I am located in rural Western Australia and running Windows 10. This happened shortly after the most recent update, but that may be a coincidence. I am using a fairly new USB DVB-T IT9135 Filter.
I have restarted NPVR and my computer a few times, but to no avail. I have also unplugged and replugged in the tuner.
Currently my remote setup mostly works but it is a kluge. I have both a eHome transceiver and a Hauppauge receiver using WinTVIR.exe running at the same time. If disable one or the other I loose some button functionality. I also have an iMon receiver but I've disabled that after much frustration. I'm also running xbmccustomregis GSB script from when I was planning to run everything from Kodi (I like the Nextpvr interface better and had a few issues with Kodi). One thing I really like from that script is that it effectively gives me a discrete on for my computer (I have a macro that runs on my remote that turns on the computer if it is off but doesn't turn it off if it is on). Discrete on is important to me and don't want to lose it. My remote is an X-Sight learning remote and I run JP1 RM so I have access to a database of different remote codes. I currently have a Windows Media Center device installed on it which I use to control Nextpvr.
The main thing I'm missing is a way to get to the hidden menu on the TV Guide. The Info button doesn't work for this. I tried installing IRSS following the sandbox wiki but my Hauppauge digital tuners (1609) don't have a Channel Changer option listed in devices (I see a Channel Changer option for an analog tuner) so I can't figure out how to tell NexttPVR to use IRSS.
Is IRSS the best (and easiest - I'm already getting in over my head) tool to use? The wiki is old and there may have been advances. If so, how I tell Nextpvr to use it? Is there an updated guide on using it with NextPVR?
I'm assuming I should switch everything to the MCE eHome transceiver unless there is some advantage to using the Hauppauge receiver also.

1. NextPVR is working fine. I have it installed on an instance of Windows 7 on my QNAP storage device 192.168.0.29. I love it, and it works great. It records to my NAS and I can watch those recordings.
2. I can use my web browser on my Windows 10 machine (http://192.168.0.29:8866/modern/guide.html) and it looks lovely. I can start recordings from here - all works great.
3. I have 2 instances of Kodi, one on my same Windows 10 machine (17.6) and one on my Nvidia Shield (17.6).
4. I cannot connect, either with the pvr addon or the x-new program addon to 192.168.0.29. I am pulling my hair out.
5. Error on bootup of Kodi (Windows Machine) is "PVR Clients: NextPVR PVR Client, Add-on couldn't be loaded. An unknown error has occured. Error in Kodi log is "18:22:52.387 T:11180 ERROR: ADDON: Dll NextPVR PVR Client - Client returned bad status (1) from Create and is not usable".
Any ideas? My gut tells me it is Kodi because NextPVR is running great, but why can I connect via web browser and not with either PVR addon or x-newa addon?
TVPlayer has announced the launch of a new cloud recording service.
The launch of the network personal video recorder (nPVR) service marks a key development for TVPlayer, with the platform now being able to supplement its existing free and pay linear service with the ability to record live TV to generate catch-up content.
The nPVR service will initially only be available on TV Player Plus (subscription) channels, wih additional channels to become available in the coming weeks.
Customers are able to increase storage up to 150 hours for £5 per month on top of their monthly fee.
You would think they could have found a more original name - hasn't nPVR been taken already?
In a TV recording, the first 2 or 3 show clips are fine, but sometimes by the time it skips to the 4th clip the sound is OK but the video looks like it is fast-forwarding through the commercial instead of being in-sync with the soundtrack which it correctly skipped to.
What causes this, and if I can, how can I correct it?
All of a sudden some of my channels are a problem. When I change to a bad channel I get an unhandled exception, npvr locks up and have to kill the process. Recordings on these channels are a problem too. The files are recorded and they play fine with other players, but when played with npvr it locks up and I have to kill the process.
Is this a decoder/renderer problem all of a sudden? Logs are attached.
Fast Forward and Rewind act more line Skip Forward and Skip Back. They go for a bit and then the program resumes playing after going forward/rewind for several seconds. Sometimes the sound keeps going as it was before the fast forward/rewind. I need to push some other transport keys to recover. The results are the same using a remote, keyboard, or on screen keys. Skip Forward and Back work fairly well but sometimes the video plays in slow motion for a few seconds or stops until I hit the key again. This appears to be preventing Comskip from working correctly also. I can see the black bars on the timeline bar and they correctly identify where the commercials are. But I experience similar issues when the program attempts to skip the commercials. Sometimes the program sound skips correctly but the picture is stuck in slow or fast motion for a few minutes. And sometimes the program just proceeds into the commercials.
I'm running Windows 10 and my recordings are on NAS. However, I get similar results in Live TV being buffered to my C drive.
