Admitted noob to NextPVR. Clean install, removed all my prior codecs and did a clean install of NextPVR and CCCP (32-bit). Running Win7 Pro x64. Have a pair of the older HDHomeRuns (HDHR3-US). Everything configured without issue, but when I watch live TV (or try to watch a program time shifted as it's being recorded), as soon as I try to skip forward or back it will almost always freeze.
If It watch the .ts file afterwards using VLC or MPC it works perfectly. I have the problem using both the LAV and the MS DTV-DVD decoder.
Logs attached from just now. Tuned to ABC just to test it out (Grey's Anatomy) and freeze occurred at 7:40pm.
Would love to get this working properly, any help greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I'm running Kodi 17.1 and latest nextpvr.h
When i go to create a timer rule if i select the option "Repeating Guide" kodi throws an error.
ERROR: PVR - PVR::CPVRClients::AddTimer - cannot add timer to client '1586518318': the command failed
If i create one of the other types of options it works.
If i try to edit that option to make it a "Repeating Guide" again an error is thrown.
If i go through NextPvr and select "All new episodes" the episode appears in Kodi as a "Repeating Guide".
Does anyone else have this issue or a fix for this problem?
I am running different versions of SPMC (14.x) on my FireTV units, and it allows me to put X-Newa as a shortcut on any menu (Videos, TV Shows, Movies, Programs).
On the Mi Box, I have the latest SPMC (from google play store) but it only allows me to put X-Newa as a shortcut menu only under Programs.
I'm not sure if this is a SPMC issue or X-Newa issue, would anyone be able to tell me?
I am getting this message, "Recording Service Not Running At Recording Time" when trying to record using NextPVR and also when I use Kodi as a front end. (Which by the way, I do not want to do as I just need a PVR).
I have searched the web and the FAQ, but all discussions appear to be several years old and about a different version of NextPVR and Windows OS. Hence my reason for this posting.
I have had some successful recordings, but only 2 out of about 7 or 8 attempts. (At least I have a file to test some editors on.)
I have checked that the NextPVR Recording Service is running. (It is always running when I look). I have stopped it and started it again.
I have checked the config.xml file which has the following relevant settings (at least they seem most relevant to me but I am novice at NextPVR):
<ScheduleWakeups>true</ScheduleWakeups>
<WakeupPreRecordingSeconds>90</WakeupPreRecordingSeconds>
<UseRecordingService>true</UseRecordingService>
(I did change this last setting from 'false' to 'true' as that seemed logical (to me), but it made no difference).
I have Windows 10 64-bit on an Acer laptop with 8GB RAM.
NextPVR is version 3.9.2 161119.
I realise that this is a problem that crops up from time to time and have read the older posts but have not found the answer.
I have a working UpdateEPG.bat file in the \scripts directory.
By working, I mean that it executes Webgrab+Plus which successfully downloads the EPG and updates the EPG .xml file correctly.
NextPVR then displays the updated EPG in the NextPVR application.
However this only works when I click the 'Update EPG' button in Channels section of Settings and not automatically at the time set in Misc2 (02:00:00AM).
I also changed the time to the current time +2mins, and restarted the recording service. Webgrab+Plus does not trigger.
The contents of my .bat file are as follows:

Running the .bat file manually also correctly runs the Webgrab+Plus.exe and updates the EPG.xml file.
Any help would be appreciated.
After upgrading Win10 to Creators update (1703), the web access stopped working claiming error in / application. Tried different browsers, even mobile ones.
Surprisingly nlite (which probably accesses necessary links directly) worked fine.
I had to solve it quickly, so un/re-installed NextPWR (deleting all setitings and starting from scratch), which did the job.
Anyone here with same experience, or am I statiscically non-significant ?
For whatever reason I'm trying to decode disk usage and tuner status info from the XML found at [url]http://ip-of-your-NextPVR[/url]:8866/public/services/InfoXML.aspx. It would however seem that there's an extra empty line at the top which screws up reading of the data. Questions are; could the XML be fixed or is there another way to get the info, e.g. via [url]http://ip-of-your-NextPVR[/url]:8866/services?
Is it possible to add a simultaneous streams limitation to IPTV?
My IPTV provider only allows two streams simulatneously. When a third stream is accessed, the provider just randomly kills one stream. Unfortunately, this would sometimes kill a stream that is recording...
?
