My Dreambox Ethernet port died years ago so it's had no connectivity. I've just picked up DM500C replacement running PLi Jade and was wondering whether it's possible to stream direct to NextPVR using the inbuilt streaming using the IPTV source. I tried all combinations of this but none worked so I'm guessing the answer is no but was just curious if there was something I may have missed.

I have installed Win10 Creators Update. The install completed without error. But...

I immediately tried NextPVR as a server. Please examine the following:

I'm really not sure what to make of this. HDHomeRun View shows a normal picture on the same machine. NextPVR shows the above view even on playback of a .ts file recorded on my other NextPVR server. If I record the channel, playback using VLC is perfectly normal so it seems to be isolated to NextPVR playback. I am using the LAV decoder but I tried the PDVD13 decoder with the same results. I tried to download the MPEG2 Extension of the DTV/DVD decoder as suggested in another thread but I get the "... MPEG2 support disabled. Try another decoder."

Can anyone offer some help with this?

No doubt this is an old chestnut, but I had NPVR running well on my windows 10 machine. Then it stopped. I uninstalled it and tried reinstalling. Error message during installation: unable to start service...an instance of the service is already running. Re-did this several times, checking that the service did not exist after uninstallation. When I try to run NPVR after installation, there's an error message saying the program has stopped working. Log zip attached. Answer is probably obvious, but I need a pointer. Many thanks

Hi, I'm new to nextpvr and loving it and it's integration with kodi - just want to say thanks for all your hardwork up front. One thing I'm trying to figure out is if there's a way I can set nextpvr to update the epg automatically more frequently. I am in the northeast of USA and have been using over the air info to update my EPG. It works well for my purposes except I've noticed some channels update the epg for a couple days ahead, others only 6 hours or so. So I'm wondering if there's a way to set auto-updates every 6hrs or so, instead of once a day. From a little searching I'm guessing I'd have to create an UpdateEPG.bat file somehow? I'm not a programmer or anything, just an amateur, but usually I can figure these things out with a little assistance. Thanks for any help!

I'm new to NPVR having used MediaPortal in the past.

I'm attempting to set up my NPVR backend:
TBS 5520SE connected to DVB-C - Virgin Media UK

Right now I am trying my luck blind scanning the various options on Type Specific Settings:
Country - set to all countries
Region - All frequencies trying each option one by one

No success yet.

Is there a better way?
For example, I know my provider NetID (00013) - is there a way to create a specific configuration file that tells NPVR where to can to find channels.

All help appreciated and will share what I learn with the community.

Recently lost my Windows 8.1 build running WMC with a Ceton PCIe 4 channel tunner. I had a build of NextPVR running on that O/S So I decided to do a hardware refresh of my HTPC. Trying to get WMC running with my tuner card on Windows 10 is a chore. To ensure that there was nothing wrong with the tuner card or the driver I was using, I Installed NextPVR on this new build. After some work got everything working as good as it did in the Windows 8.1 build save for one small item. The channel menu flickers in the left corner when it is displayed. Not a big deal but I thought it kinda odd and from searching around I haven't seen anyone else have this issue. I included a short video of what it looks like along with the log files. Thanks in advance for the help.

Any early users of this update finding any issues with the NextPVR universe?

Forgive this newbie...but how do I call a playlist from my Windows 8.1 backend install using http://SERVERIP:8866/channels?

When I load the address into Firefox, I get the standard NextPVR interface. How do I generate the m3u?

By the way, my setup is NextPVR running on a Windows 8.1 computer pointed to Kodi on my Nvidia Shield. Works fine but I want to try loading the m3u into the Cumulus TV app so I can see my lineup in Live Channels.

On my wishlist is an option to create a manual recording with advanced rules and have it marked as disabled upon setting.

I'm not sure if there is an option that can be included in the advanced rules to write it in there or not but a disabled option would be nice if there isn't a way to include it in the advanced rule.

My reasoning is this. I tried to create an advanced rule and messed it up royally and what it did was add every show that was flagged as new to my pending recordings. (Every news program, etc is flagged new. Thousands of them suckers.)

Please stop laughing now.

It was easy to remove those shows except the Conflicts ones had to be removed manually.

If I could have made the rule and had it disabled so I could test it with "find more" it would have saved a lot of headaches.

I learned a lesson though. Before I try to create an advanced rule recording I am going to back everything up so if I end up with several thousand unwanted pending recordings in the next 14 days again I can just revert.
