This is a minor gripe I know, but It's kind of annoying to have to go find the mouse to enable Subtitles for every show. I know some remotes you can map that to a button, but the remote I have, is odd and I can't map any of it's special buttons to anything. So I have to use the mouse.

I think it would be nice if there was a setting so subtitles were enabled by default. I turn it on for every show anyway.

Due to a HDD upgrade, I upgraded nextPVR from v2.5.9 that I used for years with little problem to the recent version 3.9.2. I am excited for the updated search function.

Delete:
>I noticed in Recordings that when there is only one recording under a title (last episode or a movie), there is no delete confirmation when choosing the delete menu option. I do see the confirmation when multiple files are in the title list. Is this by design? Is there an option to change this?

Season/Episode/Title
>In Recordings, some recordings of the same title have often incorrect "season" and "part" metadata, some do not. The list of episodes under a specific title then has an odd look of something like:
Saturday Night Live: blabla bla
S09E37: blady bla
S09E65: blahbhlah
Saturday Night Live: more blah

Is there a way to change how these episodes are displayed?

I've had a tough time getting npvr moved over to a different system. The record service is running and the npvr client interface works fine for watching, recording etc... but the pc just won't wake up from sleep to record. Can somebody point me to a primer on how that is supposed to work (does npvr schedule events in windows task scheduler? I dont' see any..., something else) or give me some suggestions on what to check for cause?

Any chance copying my \users\public\NPVR directory from the old system to the new system could cause an issue with recordings not waking the box up?

Windows 10 32bit system... freshly "reinstalled" from the Windows 10 recovery screens, hdhomerun drivers reinstalled and then fresh install of latest npvr... then copied over the users public npvr directory over the top.

I just downloaded NextPVR the other day and I'm having a problem. I don't know how to create a list of channels to add. This page isn't clear, at all, for a new user as to how and what to do for the set up process to work correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to move my npvr environment from one computer to another. The target system did have npvr running on it at one time before this current effort.
I copied the users/public/npvr folder from the source machine to the target and then I also ran the npvr installer to bring the target up to the most current version of npvr (to match the source machine).

I'm getting an error message from the installer on the target that reads
"Unable to start service: System.InvalidOperationException: Cannot start service NPVR Recording Service on computer"
"System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: An instance of the service is already running."

[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]

I have done everything from uninstalling, manually stopping the npvr recording service, deleting the executales from programfiles\npvr, taskkill of the npvr service, reboots in between, etc... but every time I go to install, I get this error. Is the installer trying to start the service more than once?

Any help would be appreciated. Windows 10 32bit with npvr 3.9.2.161119.

I bought a Android TV box (silly me, a T95Z Plus), and its canned Kodi 16.1 does not have the built-in PVR add-ons (i.e., noPVR addons, including NextPVR).

I replaced the canned Kodi with the official Android Kodi 16.1 (which has all the PVR addons), and the NextPVR add-on works great, but Kodi generally is unstable.

I'm told that the TV Box makers sometimes tweak Kodi for stability and their chipset, and I would like to try the canned Kodi but cannot figure out how to install the Kodi NextPVR addon (and I have looking far and wide for a zip file or repository).

Can anyone suggest how to install the Kodi-NextPVR addon for this sad situation?

I was suddenly having trouble getting npvr to run so I uninstalled and tried to reinstall
When I am trying to reinstall npvr I see this:
[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]

When I ignore that and try to start npvr I get:
[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]

I have tried uninstalling in safe mode.
I have deleted everything related to npvr.
When I try to stop npvr service with taskmanager I get "service cannot accept control messages at this time"

I don't know that I have done anything, but since Windows got an update last week some other odd things have been happening. This is my main computer with lots of apps so, I really would like to avoid a fresh install.

I'm using a 1920x1080 TV with Windows 10x64. After installing the latest NPVR update, I can view NPVR's entire screen only when I configure Windows 10's Display Settings "text, apps,and other items" to 100%. I need to change that setting to 150% to read the screen from quite some distance away. When I do that, I can only see the upper left portion of all NPRV screens. I've tried setting NPVR's UI Zoom to -150%, but it's limited to -20% which only helps slightly and doesn't sync the mouse pointer with the text zones.

NPVR's UI Resolution is set to 1920x1080. I didn't have this issue with earlier versions. Am I missing something or can someone explain how to correct the screen size please?

I can set recordings from the EPG, but if I try to set a manual recording I get a server error.

On the EPG tab, I press Manual Record.

I select a channel from the drop-down and fill in start and stop dates (eg "01/22/2017 10:00 pm" and "10:10 pm" when time is 21:50 on 22 Jan).

I select Days to Record: Once

Record Quality: Default

Recordings to Keep: 0

Recording Directory: Default

Padding: Pre: 0 Post: 0

And press Record

Got me a new Sony tv with Android built in.
loaded kodi added xnewa Wow works great
Read a few reviews that said the Android built-in didn't play all content well I haven't found anything yet that npvr records that it won't play.
Even handles the pvr addon well

Best tv I have owned by a mile
