Just came home with an open-box 50" 4k smart TV, turned it on and found I've got access to the NetFlix and Amazon accounts of whoever bought the TV before me. Did they really just assume the store would factory default it? All the store does is turn it on once to make sure it still glows. The naughty in me wants to screw with their accounts, but I'll probably just reset it. Maybe if I didn't already have Netflix and Amazon I might see how long I could watch for free...
BTW, this LG 50UH5500 seems like a much better TV than the Samsung UN48J5200 I just returned (after carefully resetting both the SmartHub and the TV itself to factory defaults!). Not just because the LG is 4k and the Samsung was 1080p either... the LG seems much more feature rich and the webOS 3.0 smart interface is much faster then the Samsung Tizen smarthub was. The whole UI experience seems better. I'm pretty sure this upgrade was $100 well spent.
I get an an exception popup when I hit the bulk map button, with this stack trace:
[SIZE=4][INDENT]System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Installed tuners are InfiniTV4 (PCIe) and HVR-2250, with only the QAM part of the 2250 enabled.
I can assign the SchedulesDirect services for each channel one by one, but this would be extremely time consuming. I'm also wondering if it is really necessary, because the ultimate goal here is to have NextPVR serve the tuners to Emby, and have Emby stream them to Rokus. As a separate issue, Emby isn't picking up the guide service assignments for the channels either, and the Map Channels option in the Emby web interface is popping up a blank window.
I am installing the NextPVR with OTA and SD on a new PC. It is a fresh installed W10Pro 64bit with latest patches. When I click on Bulk Map under Channels in Setting. I got a pop-up screen for Unhandled exception message. The NextPVR version is 3.9.2 (161119).
I can manually add each station in the lineup; but bulk map is not work.
Any idea
Thanks

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging

I have the kind of strange problem that is hard to describe. I think it has to do with my resolution. After launching NPVR, if I click on TV Guide, it takes me to Recordings. Clicking on Recordings takes me to Live TV. If I click on Live TV, NPVR closes. Clicking on Search or Exit does nothing. Once I did get into the TV Guide, but the cursor and the highlighted channels were not aligned. So weird.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled. It's a brand new computer I just built. Worked great on the old one.. I did manage to fix it for awhile on another monitor by adjusting the resolution back to normal from having the font size at 125%. Any ideas from you experts out there? - appreciate it!
I've been having more and more trouble lately watching Mpeg2 videos with NPVR. On most of them, I have sound but no video for about a minute, then a buzzing sound and then nothing. I can watch these same videos on KODI and with VLC so it has to be a NPVR codec problem. I've looked around but haven't really found anything that works. I'd like to hear if anyone has a codec that's working on all Mpeg2 videos. KODI plays everything but I prefer the NPVR program.
Hi, I am using NextPVR as a remote TV recording system which runs on my server and then Plex picks up the recordings. I have a HDHomeRun tuner and I have several series recodings set up.
I have read that I can change the recording priority by using the windows client, but I'd need a remote control to use forward and backward buttons? With it being on a server, and accessed remotely, I cant' do this.
Is it possible for me to change the recording priorities on the web client somehow; or if not can I change them on the NextPVR program using RDP, without the need to use a remote control?
Also, in Windows Media Centre and there is a conflicting recording, it is listed and I can click on it, then select which program I want to record at that time - is there a way to do that via NextPVR?
If there is nothing built in to do this, can I do it using the API somehow if I set up my own web client to talk to it? I can't find much documentation on it to help me?
I'm having problems with stuttering when playing back HD TV recordings from BBC1 on my machine using Kodi v16. The recordings are stored on the local hard disk. The video will frequently pause for a second before resuming. I was wondering whether this might be due to an inappropriate choice of codec and if so, whether anyone could recommend what I should use instead?
My current NextPVR Decoder settings are:
Video renderer: EVR
Audio renderer: Default
Music renderer: Default
MPEG2 Video decoder: LAV Video Decoder
H.264 Video decoder: Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder
HEVC Video: Disabled
MPEG1 audio decoder: LAV audio decoder
Other audio decoders: Disabled
Only use mapped audio decoders during .ts playback: Checked
I'm running NextPVR v3.9.2 on a Windows 7 machine. It's an Athlon II X2 240e 2.80GHz processor, with 4Gb RAM. My tuner card is a Blackgold BGT3620.
Is there a way to have Comskip functionality in Kodi playback from the "TV>Recordings" PVR area? For me, no skipping occurs, but I have mapped the network directory containing my recordings to the Kodi file manager and categorized them as "TV Shows" - and playback from there does in fact skip over areas identified by Comskip as the NPVR playback does. It is a pretty good work-around but leads to confusing menu navigation for the wife and family, with guide and live viewing under TV menu but skippable recordings up a level
hi! I am new to the nextpvr and plex worlds and I am trying to get the 2 to play nicely.
I have been successful in setting up both on it's own, but for some reason when I try to play anything from within Plex, I get transcoder errors and nothing works.
LiveTV works fine thru the nextpvr :8866 address...
Anyone have any ideas? I have attached logs and hope that I am not asking dumb questions lol
