I'm new of nextpvr and i try to use it with Kodi for recording iptv.
When i go to setting and device iptv and import channel (with url of my provider) load all channel but name of channel are empty and number of channel is for all "1"
The same url inside Kodi or other player show perfectly number and name of channel.
I have quite a few Manual Recordings in my Recurring Recordings list where I specify certain words in the title. I now want to record two short programmes on CNN first broadcast on a Sunday evening and repeated numerous times over the next month.
The problem is that CNN only populate the unique_id on a tiny percentage of programmes in the EPG so got lots of repeats recorded. I now do it as a weekly recording so avoid most of the repeats. I tried to specify the start and finish time to avoid most repeats but that seems to be ignored if a rule is used. Is it possible to create a rule to record only when the specified title or words appear in a specified time slot?
after upgrade to the latest version I am not able to use npvr any longer. Normally I use npvr with Kodi as client and in 90% of the time Kodi freezes now when I start it.
I suppose that npvr is the problem. Could you please tell me how I could make a complete, fresh reinstall? I did a deinstall using the Windows 10 Software mechanisms but after the new install all my old channels, directories etc. where there...so this was not fresh in my eyes.
When I start my client I get the "can't find server" message for a few seconds which then goes away. Everything then works as it should with the exception of recorded TV programs. The first time I select play for one of those there is a ten second or so delay before the programs actually play. Subsequent selections play just fine with no delay. NPVR is clearly finding the server and db3 file so I wouldn't think it was a sharing or network problem. I'm attaching my client logs from tonight in the hope someone can find the problem from them. It's so much nicer when NPVR loads promptly and plays the TV recordings as it should.
Hi
Is there any way I can stop the 'New:' text being added to the start of the Unique_ID column for some programs please?
maybe there's a check box or XML line to change I've missed somewhere
It's causing problems for me in my postprocessing batch file's NScriptHelper.exe -UniqueID calls.
The 'New:' text appending did not happen to Unigue_ID on the older version of NPVR
It's mainly happening on the TVNZ "Duke" channel, there's also some "All New' appending too
I'm using the New Zealand EPG via EPGcollector running on version 3.8.3 (160929)
eg
Title Unique_ID
South Park New: South Park-S018E009
Gotham New: Gotham-S003E007

When it is between version releases, sometimes a new NRecord or NextPvr is attached to a post to get something working for someone else (in this case for a NLite user with a problem).
Sub attached both NextPVR and NRecord to the post.
Are there any improvements that may be beneficial between releases that would motivate a user, if they backed up their current versions in case something broke, to install a patch attached to an after a version release post.
I am not using Nlite but if other improvements to NextPVR and NRecord have been written into an attached patch, I would like to utilize it.
Of course this could be opening a big can of worms which is why you would have to backup what you replace and your data files.
Hi, everyone.
I've been able to reproduce this behavior on my Android phone, Chromebook and Silk Browser.
In Recent Recordings, if there is just a single recording for a particular show, when I click the watch button, nothing plays.
If there are multiple recordings for a particular show, clicking the Watch button will play the show.
When there is a single recording, it doesn't show below the Watch, Download & Delete buttons.
When there are multiple recordings, I see all the shows below the Watch, Download & Delete buttons.
Is anyone else having this issue?
Thanks!
I am setting up NextPVR and was looking at the time shifting options. Can someone please tell me the difference between time-based and EPG-based time shifting? I looked around the forum but could not find anything. Thank you in advance.
Been using TV Listings/Recordings for a long time successfully.
Since updating to NPVR 3.8.3 TV Listings continues to work correctly and so does the Recording menu..... with one exception.
Deleting a watched recording from The TV Recording plugin crashes NPVR with an unhandled exception.
I know the NPVR default Recording menu had a similar issue that Sub issued a patch for. Should I assume this issue with TV Recordings would need Alibert to fix (if he decides to re-join us)?
Would be a shame to have to ditch the TV Recordings plugin as it allows you to jump down/up the list of ready recordings a page at a time using my remote FWD/BCK buttons whereas that functionality doesn't seem to be present in Sub's default Recording menu. Scrolling up/down one recording at a time using the remote is a pain (and holding the key doesn't repeat either) :-(
After the recent update to 3.8.3, I seem to have messages in the NPVR log I don't recall seeing before.
Are they normal and should they be there? Many of them appear in blocks of multiples
Examples below.....
