I've been happily using my Hauppauge HVR-1200 (DVB-T) card for a few months now and all of a sudden it seems like it's just died. It won't give a signal in either NPVR or in the Hauppauge WinTV 8 software. I've had reception issues in the past and thought it might have been that again. The Hauppauge DVB-T Signal Monitor tool shows no signal, however the feed is split into my TV which shows a strong signal. I've tried removing the splitter and plugging directly into the capture card but that doesn't work either. Can they just die like that? Anyone know anything I could try to get it going again, or diagnose the issue??
So I have several Raspberry Pi2 as kodi clients for live TV throughout the house. They have worked well for over a year now except today... From what I can figure last night around 11ish one got hung streaming a tv channel. Since the TV was set to sleep (and me too) it was never discovered until about 4 this afternoon when I noticed the Patriots game didn't get extended by NextEnd. A bit of checking showed a extra tuner in use which got tracked back to the Pi.
I have a script for updateEPG which checks to see if a tuner is in use to delay the update until all tuners are free. Long story short, with the tuner in use updateEPG never fired which also launches NextEnd so it didn't fire either and I lost the last of the Patriots game.
Not a huge deal, but it got me to thinking... is there some way with a setting or via script to see if a client has been streaming for xx number of hours and kill the connection?
On another note, I'm seeing a lot of these errors (NPVR.log.2). Is this anything to be conserned about?
I'm not sure the logs are going to be much help as I've done a good bit of mucking around in the last bit to try and figure out what was up but here they are.
I live in Austria and we have some of our local channels encrypted.
Therefore I own a Terratec Cinergy S2 PCI HD with a CI extension and a so called ORF smartcard.
The encrypted channel ORF 1 HD works well with NPVR and KODI but ATV HD and ATV2, which are also encrypted, do not work.
I attached the log files. The channels ATV HD and ATV2 work well with Argus TV, but ARGUS TV does not support IPTV - so I thought about switching to NPVR with KODI as frontend.
When I update a recurring recording (name, start time or end time for example), it appears broken : it disappears from the pending recordings panel, it says "none" on its definition, updating EPG won't make it appear. The only way to get it back is to cancel it and recreate it.
The only way I've found to update recurring recordings is to update EPG. This is boring, as it is very long when not recording or viewing TV.
Is there another way ?
When I update the channels, all pending or recurring recordings are lost.
Is it possible to save the pending and recurring recordings, update the channels and restore the recordings ?
I read the doc and the forums but what I've found is contradictory. Is there a way to type in the start time and end time ? Sometimes, setting it with the keyboard arrows is not so easy or accurate.
When there is a conflict between a recurring recording and something else (manual recording or another recurring recording), nothing is shown in "conflicts" and the recurring recording doesn't start, without notice.
Here in France, in the night between Saturday and Sunday, there was a DST change.
All the manual recurring recordings wend wrong : in the recurring recordings panel, start time and end time are correct, but in the pending recordings panel, start time and end time are one hour sooner !
Example : in recurring : program is said to start at 06:20 AM and to end at 09:00 AM. In pending : start à 05:20 AM, end at 08:00 AM.
I rebooted, I restart nprv service, I cancel the recurring recording and recreated it, it's still the same.
I upgraded NVPR to the last version (3.8.3_160929), no change.
