For several years I have been using autoexec.py below to start X-NEWA in XBMC then KODI under OpenElec and now LibreElec running KODI 16.1 but it no longer works with the latest LibreElec Alpha running KODI 17 Beta 3.
Instead I followed the instructions in the sticky and edited the addon.xml file in the "script.xbmc.x-newa" directory and removed the three characters but all this seems to do is delete X-NEWA after a reboot!!
Hello I've read quite a few posts on here about this problem but I can't find any which have my exact problem. I'm using Kodi on an FireTV Box.
Live TV will start and play normally for a few seconds then I get the message "Tuner no longer available" and the screen freezes. Sometimes if I hammer the channel a few times from the guide it will start again but only lasts for few seconds before freezing again?
Also I get an error when I try to visit the 127.0.0.1:8866 page. Here is a copy paste of what it says:
"Server Error in '/' Application.

I'm trying to programmatically determine if anything is currently being recorded by NPVR from an external console app. I can probably deduce it by looking at the Scheduled Recordings in the NPVR db, but is there an easier method? Link to docs, sample code?
I installed the monthly Windows 10 update this evening (KB3194798) and after a few minutes of play - both NPVR client and kodi clients freeze playing LiveTV with a message that no tuners are available (HDHR Prime). The HDHR does lock up a channel when this happens, requiring a reboot of the Prime. But after the reboot, neither client will play liveTV - only a message that no tuners are availible - but they are!
So I have most things setup and working "as exected". I loaded a few directories that contain various TV and Movie type files. Basically an .ISO folder with DVD .ISOs... some .MP4 show and even .M4v shows. Each dir had content of that type (.ISO .MP4 .M4v). For the respective directory if I click on Meta data for a file there, it says, "no shows could be found matching: mp4". Or "...matching: ISO". Why is it searching against the directory name or the file type and not the name of the file? I'm guessing I did a newbie move but can't see what and have browsed around the forum a bit without seeing this mentioned. Latest version of Next PVR, W10 x64 w/latest patches all that.
Thanks! And I can post logs, I'm assuming it's something dumb I did or I'm asking so I'll skip it for now.
Hello.
I'm looking around for a while and couldn't find solution to this problem.
I have Win 7 and HDHOMERUN. If selecting "Live TV" it is working and I can see TV but the guide is empty.
I have downloaded mc2xml.exe. It is installed and working. I generated file "xmltv.xml" in the script folder (validate the XML including guide data)
In the settings, I see the device (3 tuners) all channels identified (340) - all looks good.
In the channels, It did load anything automatically. if I double click a channel and change the source to : XMLTV the mapping show the correct channel (for Example, the channel is WAGA 004 and the mapping shows 4 WAGA).
This is working for all channels I tried (for the first channel I had to select the XML file, but all other was using the same location).
I'm pressing OK and closing the settings and still the guide is totally empty.
I use NPVR with Kodi for many years now with no problems and I have a issue since the last update to 3.8.3 I made today (from 3.7.7).
My setup is:
- NPVR installed on my server (Windows 8.1)
- Kodi installed on my HTPC (Windows 7)
- Connected by Ethernet
Since the 3.8.3 update, I get the message "No tuner longer available" in Kodi few seconds after launch live TV. The image freezes soon after.
On my server, NPVR running properly, including live TV.
The EPG works in Kodi.
I tested with Kodi 15 and 16: same problem.
Note:
- I launched the update from the setting menu of NPVR;
- if I want to access to the web interface of NPVR (http://192.168.1.2:8866/), I get this screen:
I've recently got NextPVR working and it looks very good. I'm mainly using OTA with the cheapest satellite subscription I can get to fill in channels I can't get OTA.
I'd now like to get IPTV working so I can cut the cord completely. I've seen several comments on here about IPTV but I'm not sure which ones are current. So three questions:
What is the current state of IPTV support?
What (legal) sources are there for IPTV that work on NextPVR?
Are channels like streamlive.to legal and are they supported?
