Unable to locate tuner filter (IT9135 BDA filter) on windows 10 latest build
Posted by: Omidz - 2016-10-16, 05:49 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (10)

HI guys,

I have a serious problem since 2 months ago and I'm going to explain how it started,
I have a DVB-T dongle with IT9135 driver, I was using this device without any problem with the software that was with the device (totalmedia) and also I had tested DVBviewer (at that time I didn't know of Nextpvr). There was no problem until I got windows 10 anniversary update and also updated some drivers specially the bios driver. The problem started when I wanted to watch tv and it gave me error that "device is not detected" so by unplugging the dongle, closing the software and plugging again and opening the software I could resolve the issue. This happened about 4 or 5 times until one day I couldn't pass the error and it persisted. I've done anything that I could but no luck. I've asked my problem in some other forums and no answer came out. All those other softwares doesn't have such forums to support but thanks to this software I can ask my problem here with logs and it's very good even if I can't solve my problem. I have tested many softwares also Nextpvr which I found today. All of the softwares can detect my device but when I want to scan for channels they gives me error that "device is not detected" or "No hardware" or "device is being used by other softwares" or "Unable to locate tuner filter". It's very strange and it seems they detect my DVB-T dongle but they can not use it. I attached the logs and also filtercheck maybe someone can help me at last. In addition there is no problem with my dongle since I'm using it on my android tablet without any problem.
thanks for your support and the time you devote.

  NextEnd Sanity Check
Posted by: jcole998 - 2016-10-16, 04:24 PM - Forum: Add-ons (3rd party plugins, utilities and skins) - Replies (7)

Hello. I would like to get a better understanding of how NextEnd operates. I've attached the NextEnd and NextEnd-Monitor logs for examination. Based on the logs, I can't make sense of what NextEnd is trying to do. Basically, I'm trying to insure that if a NASCAR race runs past its end time, I'd like NextPVR to keep recording until the race ends plus delay the start of later recordings on that channel for the amount of time the race ran past the scheduled end time.

Is NextEnd operating correctly? Am I invoking NextEnd correctly?

I appreciate your time.

  Slow loading on Recordings screen
Posted by: BrettB - 2016-10-15, 09:03 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (14)

I have noticed that NextPVR is (often) slow when loading the Recordings screen or jumping forward a page at a time. As an example, in the attached logs the webclient.log shows:

Actual Recording are shorter than supposed to be
Posted by: scJohn - 2016-10-15, 08:49 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (2)

The recording of Lucifer.S02E03.Sin-Eater.ts was only 28 minutes long instead of the expected 60 minutes. My extermination of log file: ndigitalhost-27.log.1 seems to indicate that a 60 minute recording was produced.

The recording of Lethal Weapon.S01E04.There Goes the Neighborhood.ts was only 3 minutes long instead of the expected 60 minutes. My extermination of log file: ndigitalhost-20.log.1 seems to indicate that a 60 minute recording was produced.

I have also included NRecord.log.1 which shows the correct start and stop times for Lethal Weapon.S01E04.There Goes the Neighborhood.ts on 10/12/2016 at 20:57:00 and 21:00:00.

Any ideas?

Option to set Pre/Post -Padding in seconds
Posted by: scJohn - 2016-10-15, 08:10 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (6)

I would like to have the option of setting pre-padding and post padding in seconds instead of minutes. Another way might be to keep minutes but instead of requiring a integer value, accept a double like 0.5 which would mean 30 seconds.

Daft question perhaps - but are there any ultra-high definition skins for NPVR? The standard UI looks a bit soft when upscaled on a UHD TV...

  Out of Memory Error
Posted by: Cleveland Steve - 2016-10-15, 01:46 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (11)

After another Windows 10 upgrade was forced upon me, I now get an error that says "your computer is low on memory" when ever I watch live television for about 45 min. When I look at the task manager, the Windows Desktop Manager is consuming all of the memory. I'm not sure how to troubleshoot this one. I only see the problem when watching live tv through NextPVR. All drivers are up to date. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Would Appreciate a Review Before Going Live with NextEnd & TV Listings
Posted by: GWCowling323 - 2016-10-15, 11:18 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (12)

I am planning to use NextEnd and TV Listings to meet four objectives:

  1. Extend sports (particularly NCAA football)
  2. Watch Recordings without commercials
  3. Extend post-sports programs on Sunday night
  4. Customize TV Guide with groups, order, genre colorization, append "Further Showings," etc.

I started with the sample batch files from the wiki to create PostStartup, ParralelProcessing, PostProcessing, PostUpdateEPG, and UpDateEPG .bat files.

I have attached the UpDateEPG file. I would appreciate general feedback on that as well as responses to more detailed questions which I have included in REM statements. If that batch file is good, I am confident the other four will be good to go.

Thanks to Martin and Graham for all the help they have provided thus far. And to Sub for establishing such an outstanding process.

NPVR MPV boots into 4:3 aspect rather than 16:9
Posted by: metrov - 2016-10-14, 06:55 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (2)

Using NextPVR version 3.6.6 on Windows XP SP3 and MPV wired clients.

After a power cycle of the MPV it always starts in 4:3 aspect ratio.

This requires going to "settings" and changing it to 16:9 before selecting "Emulation Mode".

Is there a way of keeping it in 16:9 or is this hard coded to start in 4:3 mode

Logs attached

Thank you for any time anyone spends on my question (as it is not a serious headache!)

NPVR recordings resume function on menu or in vison
Posted by: metrov - 2016-10-14, 06:47 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (3)

Sorry if this is already on the forum but cannot find.

Using NextPVR version 3.6.6 on Windows XP SP3 and MPV wired clients.

NextPVR has the "Resume" on the menu under "Play" which works fine.

Is it possible to have the Resume Yes/No, come up in vision after play is pressed like it did on GBPVR?

Logs attached

Thank you for any time anyone spends on my question
Brian
