I am having an issue where NextPVR misses (or Kodi never sends) the stop/close connection to the NextPVR backend and therefore the stream continues to buffer until eventually the HDD runs out of space.
The only error I see is when I close Kodi I see the following:

I had just finished deleting a recording(episode 1) form a Series that has 2 recordings. When I click on the Back button to return to the previous window I get a unhandled exception. See screen capture. Here are the contents of the details section:

I have also included the log files. The escape key will also generate the exception(after clicking on Continue). I have to close NextPvr.
This happens from me from time to time where a show has the same name as an older show (in this case Aftermath). NPVR downloads the info for the older show (posters, thumbs), and in the past I've been able to go find the right xml file in the media/shows directory and manually edit it. I'm not seeing the particular XML anymore, so is there a preferred way to tell NPVR which show info to download?
Is it possible to set up a recording schedule based on season number? So let's say I want to record show X on all channels at all times but I only want to record it of its from season 2? Is that possible? Maybe in a flag for advanced recording options? Thanks!
When watching recordings the audio stops after about 15 seconds. Installed update to 3.8.3 thinking that might take care of the problem. It didn't. Logs attached.
Downloaded Guide Plus. Used 7-zip to extract files. Opened the application. Screen blinked, but that was it. No evidence that anything actually happened. Where do I go from here?
By the way, I have been having a similar problem where the screen would go blank, and then I have to do something with the remote for it to show backup. I have been meaning to get logs but never got around to it. It really confuses my kids.
While recording a couple of programs, I intentionally shutdown the recording service. I did this in order to implement 3.8.3 this evening. I fully expected to have a "service was restarted" message, with a related loss of a couple minutes of data. I then installed 3.8.3, and restarted the service and NPVR task. Everything worked as expected.
When I restarted NPVR, the recording service restarted the recording, as expected. However, it also deleted the orphan/loose/incomplete initial 27 minute recording. Had that not occurred, I would have been able to watch the complete program (minus the missing 2 minutes that were lost). What I got was a single file that was the final/2nd half of the program with a suffix of "-0".
The program in question was "On The Record with Brit Hume". The failure is described in Nrecord.log.1 at: 2016-09-27 19:27:57.074 [DEBUG][13] - deleting extra recording: E:\Recorded TV\On the Record With Brit Hume\On the Record With Brit Hume_20160927_19002000.ts (9/27/2016 11:00:09 PM)
I believe that it is normal for NPVR to restart a recording, in the event there is a system error or other catastrophic failure. If that is true, then I believe there's a problem. This has been happening since I started playing with NPVR, and I've reported it before. Each time I report it, I'm told that I should not interrupt recordings, but that doesn't make sense to me.
Just got a letter from Comcast today indicating they are moving to MPEG-4 stream on their cable cards. As I have a HDHomeRun, I am a little concerned, however it appears that Silicon Dust HDHR device supports the MP4 format (aka H264 stream).
Not sure what other devices this may affect, thought I'd share the information...
I used the new browser tv guide in 3.7.7 and it worked but could not delete recordings. I upgraded to 3.83 and the new browser tv guide worked and had the 3 new buttons. I tried the delete one. The browser hung. When I tried to reload it I got the following message over and over again: System.Web.HttpException: The current identity (NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM) does not have write access to 'C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files'. My windows anniversary system 10 does not have a Temporary ASP.NET Files folder so I created one and gave it the highest sharing and control permissions.
I get the same error but the folder I created has a bunch of folders and files in it now. Any similar experiences and a solution?

After this post I checked out the contents of the empty C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files folder I created yesterday. Sometime during today its contents were put into that empty folder. When I saw that I was able to successfully bring up the web browser version of the TV Guide.
