With 3.7.7 (and probably earlier versions), the specific episode/recording entries in the Ready Recordings and What's New recordings lists include the season/episode in parenthesis after the title (in both the list and the details section), but the Pending Recordings does not.
Can you update the Pending Recordings lists to include the season/episode info?
I've been trying NextPVR for a couple of months, and it generally works as specified. However, I have been having gaps appear the next day in an existing broadcast (OTA) EPG with 3.6.6 and 3.7.7. Essentially, I populate the EPG from the broadcast signals from Settings/Channels/Update EPG. After a few minutes the EPG is 100% populated for 7 days (to save my time I have only checked the top 8 channels in the NextPVR TV Guide display, which include several different multiplexes, for times 18:00-23:00 each day; they are 100% complete, no gaps). I last updated the EPG on 1 July at about 12:00; it was complete until midnight on 8 July.
The next day at 15:00 many gaps, i.e. "(no show details)", have appeared in the formerly-filled EPG (in the same top 8 channels over the same period, and on different multiplexes). If I either tune to the affected channel or do a new EPG update the gaps will be filled for the moment, but will reappear soon.
I've searched the NextPVR site but not found any reference to this, though I have seen reports of the EPG populating with gaps from the outset. Is the later appearance of gaps a known issue; is there a workaround?
Clevo laptop computer, Win10/64, working well. Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-TD-Stick (958xx) dual tuner, in dual, not diversity, mode, with external aerial - signal is OK. Freeview (not HD), London UK; most channels from Crystal Palace transmitters.
All channels show as having 2 sources (with the dual tuner), and DVB/ATSC EPG as EPG source.
The same problem occurs with the LAV and the MainConcept (from Hauppauge WinTV 7) MPEG-2 decoder.
(Not related to this problem: 1. the latest Hauppauge WinTV8 Arcsoft decoders don't seem to work, probably locked to work only with WinTV. 2. I get the NextPVR "DirectX missing" message, though I have the latest DirectX. NextPVR seems to work OK though.)
Best wishes, pol098
PS I've uploaded .ZIPped logs, hope they appear here, haven't done this yet
I've installed 3.7.7 without issue and all of it's features are working beautifully.
I moved on to trying out the new modern web page from a client machine and got mixed results.
The picture below shows what is presented to me after clicking the "Settings" option on the new web UI on a client machine:
Are these the only settings that can be changed? It seemed that there were many, many more settings available in the previous version. Of what use is the PIN? Anywhere further to go from this page? I'd like to change colors and the amount of information shown like the number of minutes and so forth.
Also, notice the "Installed" version vs the "NextPVR.com" version. Looks wrong?
-It appears that the preferred channel group is honored on the TV Guide page but not on the Now page. The "Now" page always shows all channels. Is this intended?
-"Watch" does not work from the TV Guide page but will work from the "Now" page.
Logs attached.
All else is working perfectly. A great new release!
So for some reason after the update Kodi cannot see the EPG data anymore. It is all blank and says no information available. The channels still work but no EPG. Everything on my backend with nextpvr works great, guide, channels etc. Thoughts?
Just updated NPVR from 3.6.6 to 3.7.7 and had 2 recordings cut short on 6/30. Code Black (10-11pm) ended after 3 min and The Late Show (11:35 - 12:37) ended after 27 min. Both are on the same OTA channel (WUSA-DT 9.1).
I had previously updated to WIN10 on 6/21 and hadn't noticed any problems with 3.6.6. I updated NPVR on 6/28 by overwriting (not a clean install) and just noticed this. Logs attached.
With the old interface I was able to download a recorded video from the webpage to my local machine. In the modern I can only watch the videos. How do I download the video file?
Would it be possible to have the "Watch" button available in addition to "Play" and "Resume" for in progress recordings on the TV Guide. I frequency record things and then decide to just join live.
I checked using IE, Chrome, and Firefox on multiple computers. It appears that anything with a width over 2010 pixels breaks the layout of the guide page.
In standard.css #guide-timeline width needs to be changed to 100% rather than 2000px.
Just thought I would let everyone know in case someone else had the same problem and needed to fix it.
I don't know if anyone has use for an MVP these days, but thought I would toss it out there for anyone that may like to have it. Otherwise it goes to the Best Buy recycle bin. It is one of the Helius branded Hauppauge Media MVP's. I used to have several around the house, happily serving up analog GB-PVR and NPVR over the years. I don't think I have a remote, but I may run across one as I continue to clean my office. PM me if you would like to own this piece of technological wizardry. Cover shipping and it is yours!
