I faced an issue with new3.6.6 release on my 2 clients. When checking videos (click on videos menu) it will hang for 1 mn , so that windows is thinking NVPR is not responding. But in reality after 1 mn everything is back to norrmal. I checked the NPVR.log, I saw the 1mn wait but no Error reported.
i am providing the client NPVR.log lfile. Not a big deal to wait 1 mn but seems strange to me.
Quote:- adds support for new Schedules Direct service, which will auto extend sports recordings if the event is not yet finish. This is off by default, but can be enable din the Settings->Recording screen. It'll probably be enabled by default in future releases.
This is a wonderful feature for sports lovers. Thanks.
I don't know if this can be done, but how about watching for a sports event that is running long and correcting the start and stop times for scheduled recordings that come after it? I can't tell you how many times I have lost the end of a program because football has run long right before it... Would you guess I'm not a sports fan? I'm in the habit now of looking for games and scheduling a 2 hour recording for a 1 hour show when I see one.
Damn users always wanting more... Seriously, thanks for all your hard work.

While playing a recording, stop it, screen goes black, cursor only, then about 15 sec later you get the not responding circle cursor and I have to terminate NPVR.
This is on Win7 x64 with 4 screens, full screen on secondary display (Radeon HD 6800 on Asus P8Z68PRO, I7 2600K).
One time starting NPVR going to TV listing, the guide was didn't display correctly, missing half the show descriptions. Went to TV Guide, it just froze.
I disable Animation wait for VSYNC. I will see if this help .
I would appreciate some help/advise relating to a recent issue being caused (I think) by my cable provider (Verizon FiOS).
Thursday morning I noticed that one specific channel (which had no issues for over 2 years) was not producing audio. No other channels appear to be affected. .After trying different TV apps, I discovered that neither npvr, HDHomerun View nor VLC generated audio on this specific channel, but WMC did. I called Verizon, they claimed it was the cable card and sent me a new one, which I installed the next day, but no change in audio output on that channel. I called Verizon again, and they didn't have an answer for me, they said that they would elevate the issue, which in turn causes some sort of tech to issue a reset on the cablecard - which did nothing for me.
Playing around in NPVR settings, I brought up the audio stream control, selected "Eng" and sure enough, audio started streaming on that channel. If I tune to a different channel, then back to the problem channel, I need to again set the audio stream to "Eng" to receive the audio.
Since Verizon is virtually ignoring my claims of a problem, I am wondering if there is a way that npvr can automatically enable or force, by default, the English audio stream when tuning to any given channel (or even all channels)? Since there are no such audio issues with WMC, I am assuming that it has this capability built in to it. I am hoping that NPVR has the same ability.
I have had a link in the Videos Screen to the Blu-Ray Player for some time - I was using Whurlstones plugin but removed it as Java was out of date and no updates to the plugin
As soon I try to open the Videos Screen in NPVR v3.6.6 it locks up and stops responding. Have to use the task manager to close.
Removing the link stops the problem.
I would like to use the New Metadata Screens for recordings - probably for Video as well but there are a couple of problems.
On Series Folders the name of the Episode is repeated - see below
[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]
Ive tried to find where it is coming from but have failed to find the duplicate. This doesn't happen in the single recording folders.
Also when going back up a level from this screen it always goes back to the first item in recordings - which then means a lengthy scroll or guess the number (1-9) to find where you were in the list (Over 140 directories in recordings at the moment)
In the original Recordings screen Fanart is only shown now if there is a catalog.xml file in the Media/Shows folder, Using the New Metadata Screens automagically creates them so not a big problem.
Also is it possible to make the translucent black rectangle more translucent - which is the object I need to change the alpha on to make the fanart a bit more visible.
After many years of using GBPVR with Vista I have moved to Windows 7 and now use NextPVR. GBPVR was perfect but NextPVR is even better, just didn't work with the Vista's splitter (does with 7,8, and 10)
I am so happy. All my work arounds are gone.
