Hi all, I'm brand new to NextPVR and really trying to break away from the cable companies. I got a file server (FlexRAID), a server running Emby/MediaBrowser and just got into running a Homerun HD Prime with a cable card. So now I'm trying to get a DVR solution and NextPVR seems like a popular choice.
So just curious what a recommended setup for NextPVR would be?
My file server is fairly weak as far as processor power goes and has a very generic video card so not sure it can handle any sort of high quality encoding. So would it be more beneficial to run it with Emby which has a better video card? If so, should I keep recordings locally or can they be stored on a network drive? Is it better to put it on a dedicated PC? Or is it best to upgrade my file server with better hardware and load NextPVR on that so the drives are local?
Just looking for suggestions on what everyone else does that works best for them.
the comskip offset in config doesn't do anything on clients, i tried setting to 10 secs and nothing changes...
shame, as this is where it's badly needed, what with possible net overhead..
need logs? server too?
For all Recurring Recordings records no matter what they are, the "Find All" option results in unhandled exception - "Object reference not set to an instance of an object". It still works as expected in Pending Recordings for all records. Have demonstrated same bug on two completely independent machines.
This is an alternate art-based recordings display. It also can optionally display/merge Plex tv shows with recordings and display movies in your Plex library. Movies are accessed via the menu in NPVR (reached by pressing "up" on the top row) and are presented in separate, flat views for each Plex library section or all grouped together. Note that the Plex integration is limited to display and direct playback (Plex transcoding is not used). The resume points are not synched and Plex tv episode deletion is done via the file system, not through Plex. I don't know if I will work on this anymore but thought I would share it here in case it might be useful to others in its current form.
Hi.
Tried last 3.6.6 version, but the same FM radio problem still exist.
When first FM radio is started there's only buzzing garbage sound.
If I start FM radio with another software (Mediaportal, MPC-HC, etc.,) radio works, and then works also in NextPVR.
My card is a software analog card (Pinnacle 3010ix) with Philips 7162 chipset.
I remember that with older versions of NextPvr worked perfectly. Can't remember from which version started to fail, though.
Thank you,
sdf

I'm at a loss, I had my system working perfectly on a traditional hard drive. I installed an SSD in my older rig and cloned the hard drive, now when I try to watch live tv in npvr I get a black screen that appears to be frozen. If I hit excape a couple of times I can get back to the menu. My hardware is a Hauppauge 2250 card in an older core 2 duo machine. I have switched back and forth between the two drives and the old still works great but the SSD gets hung up. I have also performed a clean install on the SSD and still get the same black screen. The real killer is WinTV that came with the card can view the stream fine on the SSD setup, just not npvr.
Hi, I've installed NextPVR with Kodi 15.2 and the PVR addon.
Everything seems to be working great but there is one key feature that I seem to be missing on the Kodi side. When I go into NextPVR itself I see all the program listings and which shows are marked as "new". But, when I look at the guide via Kodi I don't seem to see any programs marked as new at all. Is there anyway to get program data within Kodi have new episodes marked as new?
