I was looking at the Settings screens for X-NEWA yesterday, and there are a couple of items where I don't know what they are supposed to do. Can you tell us?
1. "Update XBMC library after play"
2. "Copy cover art"
3. "Permanent cache (Manual Delete)" - I'm guessing this keeps all of the EMULATE-*.jpg files like X-NEWA used to do.
4. "Use X-NEWA LiveTV skin"
Yesterday, I tried to cancel a recording that was about to begin CTV News Montreal 20160124 23300000. NRecord froze. Device status windows on both client and server went blank.
Another recording in progress the fifth estate_20160124_23300030.ts stop at 23:30:50.
I had to Stop NPVR Service and Start NPVR Service
This problem was there last year and is really not easy to reproduce. I don't think it is related to 3.6.6 changes.
I'm running Kodi on QNAP TS-453A in the HybridDesk. Kodi and the native NPVR add-in runs fine, but I would prefer X-NEWA because of comskip better recordings management. Oddly, no X-NEWA skins work, but I get what effectively seems as screen of the NextPVR app and it actually works to some extent, it is just extremely sluggish and crashes quickly. Can anyone advise how to get the Confluence or any other skin really X-NEWA like I do on the PCs that connect to the same NextPVR server.
Hi, if the program is not found on the TVDB should it still be found in KODI TV Shows? I have quite a few recording with a renamed file, but no NFO. I have some with an NFO but these don't show in the KODI TV Show tab.
Below is what I am running in the post processing bat. I am also running it on demand against the NVP database as per the wiki to test out the switches.
For some channels I use DVBguide to provide me an xmltv file with the epg. In NextPVR, I have set some genre colourings (this was done prior to configuring the xmltv epg source, not sure if that plays a part).
For the channels that get there EPG via xml, there is no genre colouring... Not sure if this is possible (if such info is in the xml file)... Any thoughts?
I just downloaded and installed NPVR version 366.
The program seems to be working fine, but it is in full-screen mode. I need to be able to switch back to the Window mode.
I have done a search on the forum, and found a couple of suggestions, but nothing that works.
How do you swap between full-screen mode and the Window mode.
Yesterday I upgraded my PC from Windows 7 to Windows 10.
NextPVR seems to work fine. I can watch live TV and do a recording while the computer is on, etc.
I looked in Task Scheduler and noticed that my recurring task to update NextPVRs EPG wasn't there. I was concerned.
I scheduled a test for noon today to record The Brady Bunch at a time when the computer would be off.
I didn't see anything created in Task Scheduler to wake the computer up so I wasn't hopeful.
I came home and no recording. When I look in NextPVR it says that "Recording service not running at recording time".
I then checked the Windows system log and it didn't wake up at just before noon.
I've attached my logs.
I see that in the logs it says that it Requested wake up as shown below:
Requesting wake up for 'RecordingOID859' at 1/24/2016 11:57 AM
I'm guessing that this means that NextPVR would create a scheduled task to wake up?
Any ideas why NextPVR isn't creating the scheduled tasks?
I have a HDHomerun prime which works fine with NPVR with no cablecard. Installed a cablecard ran HDHomerun setup to change the config from digital to cablecard and ran devices setup in NPVR again. NPVR sees the device and finds channels however when I try to watch liveTV all I receive is a black screen no audio. Recordings grow in size but again just a black screen no audio during playback in VLC. I tried different decoders including SAF6 since it is stated in the Read before posting. One note is the HDHomerun setup no longer includes "Other - ATSC/QAM" for application (again read before posting) unless I am missing something that is. I have tried Default and Next PVR for the BDA Compatibility Mode in HDHomerun setup. Windows Media Center on a windows 7 box is able to see most of the channels HBO and handle full of other channels are not displaying but HDHomerun logs report I am not subscribed to those channels so I know there is an issue that needs cable intervention but I should be able to at least see standard channels in NPVR right?
OS: Windows 10
Tuner: HDHomerun Prime CableCard and tuning adaptor
Hi, first post here, read a lot about issues similar to mine, but still can't get NextPVR to work. When I select Live TV, I get a black screen, no video or audio. At first there was no C:\temp file, so that was added. Still not working. This is version. 3.6.6. I have looked at many websites and the settings of NextPVR seem to be as recommended, but something is wrong. I don't know what else to try, please help, Thanks in advance.
After switching from a Ceton infinitv 4 USB tuner to an HDhomerun PRIME tuner, and having re-worked my hard undrive from Windows 7 Ultimate to Windows 8.1 (and then to Windows 10), I then re-installed NextPVR, and used it to record several TV programs quite successfully. HOWEVER, when I attempted to watch live TV on it, I got only the video--no sound at all! I've attached the logs in zip format. I'm using the LAV decoders and the EVR audio renderer. What do I need to do to correct this problem? Thanks in advance for your time and assistance!
