Has anyone been successful getting subtitles to work through the Pluto Extra?
If I watch the show directly from the Pluto website the subtitles are there, if I do it through the extra they don't appear.
Install NextPVR on Windows 11 box and I have 2 accounts at 1 IPTV provider. I started to add another IPTV device but when it parsed out the channels for the second IPTV device I realized that it was about to add additional channels starting at around 2005. WHOA hang on a second. This got me thinking, this is not what I want. I guess I had imagined incorrectly that it would just double up the channels except using the same channel numbers that would in effect have 2 different streams to the provider. Thats what I was after but looks like it's not possible or I'm doing something wrong. What is the recommended way to configure this? Keep in mind that I'm using Kodi with the NextPVR client. I may have jumped the gun on this but my current challenge is I seem to be running out of streams as live TV is being dropped sometimes and it's usually while NPVR is recording stuff. What I was going to do was double up the available streams but if I can't do that then I will have to figure something else out. I guess my question is what would be the recommended way to proceed? I now have a total of 10 streams available to me, split into 5 per account at the same provider. Is there a way to combine these in NPVR?
Could channel changes with the remote (guide and Live TV channel changes) be "smarter" and if a channel doesn't exist try and find the match
using the last digit as the minor? eg. 41 would find 4.1 133 finding 13.3
There will be potential conflicts but minor's won't be zero and normally the minor is less then 10 so these will be minimal.
Wanting to determine what the expected outcomes should be for the following:
Windows server running combo tablo OTA tuners and iptv (primarily plutoTV) channels
Guide update scheduled for once daily coming from xmltv file
The postloadEPG.bat has this line in it
start /b "" python C:\Users\Public\NPVR-data\scripts\plutotv\pluto.py xmltv-update 90
I've tried that with varying numbers from default to as low as 60 without noticing a difference.
For testing purposes I setup a recurring recording that should record all programs (by guide data) on a Pluto channel. It recorded what was in the guide initially but stopped when that initial guide data ran out. If I manually updated the guide, which I did around 8:30p 1/19, it started recording again. My assumption is that it should reload the guide data every 60 minutes and continue to record matching programs without intervention as it does for the OTA recurring recordings.
I don't know what I should be expecting to see in the logs but am surprised that the npvr.log seems to only have entries up until 12/20. Is that log only used for system updates and the like?
I expect that the automated guide refresh is only for Pluto and not universal to xmlTV/IPTV guide sources. Is that correct?
I created an "extras" file with 5 different channels defined. If I try to record more than 1 channel at the same time I get an error: "No tuner is available at the specified time" Is that normal?
I'm using NPVR, by itself, on a desktop to record broadcast TV. Often it records a few programs but then tries another and fails after a couple of minutes. In the morning I check and NPVR says no service; I check task manager which claims Nextpvr service is running. I restart the service and it works (again for a few shows). It fails at about 1/19/24 ~04:00 (AM).
As promised Martin and Sub, attached is a dvbs5-scan of Astra 28.2 carried out on Hauppauge HVR4000 pci card. If you need anything further on this let me know
I RE-installed NEXT pvr. i had it set to get the program data from the broadcast signal since my SD expired. I since resumed me SD account. NOW 10% thru 100 channels setting guide to SD i wonder if there is a configuration file i can manually edit to set all the channels to SD? I cannot find this "bulk map" thing. i have problems just finding the "settings" since it does not appear within the app when ever i look for it. I thought i used to just r-click on the NEXTPVR icon in the top left of the window to find settings but my memory must be in error. I also have a problem if someone tells me to use "bulk map" without stating all the steps from launching the program to getting to the "bulk map" setting. Does it require a fresh install? IF possible can i get the file name to offline edit EPG source? barring that can i get step by step instructions how to change all my program source data at once from over the air to schedules direct? SOrry about the length, this is a great program but i'm slow bad vision and hard for me to slog thru the fine print.
Hello,
Mother is in the hospital and I would like to disable the recording service. Which file do I need to stop to stop the service?
Thank you for your time.
Bruce
Is it possible to use Meshnet or Tailscale to access my remote (Windows-based) NPVR server? I use them successfully for other applications but not for the NextPVR server
