My subtitles are way ahead of the actual audio on NextPVR 6.1.5. I just recently built a new computer and installed this new version...I've been using version 4 on the old computer. The computer running version 4 has no issues with subtitle delay even when viewing the same shows that v 6.1.5 has issues. I've tried changing the DVBSubtitlesPESDelay in config file, but it has no effect. In case it helps, I only have "disable" and "closed caption" as options on the Alt-Y menu. Any suggestions for how I can get this better syncing on the new version?
I wanted to record something last night and get to sleep but found the channel wasn't in the guide.
Forgive me me for not searching very much for the answer. I'm wondering what's the best way to go about adding this, or all channels without much fuss or disturbing existing recording schedules?
They're (or at least this one) is already listed in the xmltv file.
My QNAP NAS finally failed, but fortunately I knew it was going to happen.
I have a new Terramaster NAS setup and have been using robocopy to keep it in synch with the old NAS until I had time to remap my clients.
Unfortunately, I'm forced to do that now.
This isn't an easy topic to search the forums on, or I'm using the wrong search terms without luck.
I've been using UNC paths for NPVR instead of drive letters, so it's not a simple matter of mapping the same letter to the new drive.
Question is, what's a good way to update the NPVR database and change my UNC from "NAS315" to "NAS0324"? (I'll backup the db first).
It's not clear to me if and of the NextTool commands will accomplish this.
I'm capable of using SQL to update the database.

I have screwed up something in NextPVR and can not view any video. I would like to start fresh with all default settings. What do I need to do to reset everything?
(Not to be confused with NextPVR's nice seek-able thumbnails)
There was a recent API change in Kodi v22 that allows for thumbnail extraction from recordings. I enabled this as an alternative to downloading and displaying the poster from NextPVR since the poster can get a bit repetitive. While it sounds like a good idea if you watch this video https://streamable.com/g5qcy3 you will see why I have never really like using thumbnails with my video library I choose a cartoon series since it is quite easy to see how often it misses the show and then even when it is the cartoon does it really help? Probably best in countries with no commercials.
I have a Schedules Direct subscription and found my lineup.
Tuner is a HDHomeRun Dual - which is from 2012. Did a fresh install of the HDHomerun setup, did a channel scan, found 123 channels, can view them on Windows Media Player.
Trying to add channels in NextPVR.....
Settings/Devices finds the HDHomerun with 2 tuners.

In the Guide drop down I selected Schedules Direct [local broadcast listings(USA-OTA-85283)]. Process gets stuck on "Loading EPG mappings".
I tried using a new XMLTV file created from EPG123.exe (the WMC setup).
On Kodi for android, I just recently reorganized my channels in NextPVR and now all of the channel icons are wrong on the guide, and I can't find a way to correct them. Here's what I've done:
1. Gone to PVR / Client specific settings and tried 'Refresh cache for channel icons' and then after that 'Update all channels'
2. In PVR / General - used the 'Clear data' function and allowed the entire guide to be reloaded.
3. Uninstalled the entire NextPVR addon, restarted Kodi and reinstalled/reconfigured it.
4. Browsed the Kodi file system under profile directory to addon_data/pvr.nextpvr/. In this folder, there is a folder labelled '1' that has all the incorrectly numbered channel icons. I deleted this folder and refreshed the guide. The folder comes back again with incorrectly numbered icons. Same for a reinstall of the entire addon.
I am out of ideas for how to correct these channel icons. It seems like something from the NextPVR server is feeding the wrong data, and even with a complete wipe of Kodi (definitely don't want to do that) they'd come back the same again. HOWEVER, on the webUI, all channel icons are correct. I'm stumped. Can someone tell me what else I might try?
I have a couple of oddities when using uidroid that I have no idea how to overcome.
As Martin already knows I am running uidroid using Chromecast with Google TVs (a 4k model sitting room & a HD model bed room) connected through power pass usb-c hubs with wired LAN.
Now this really weird problem happens after it has been running (mostly) fine for about a month (if not longer)
The remotes will become sluggish to use & after a while like this anything (through Recordings) you try to play will just display a grey screen (with the blue overlay at the bottom I think from memory) & not play.
When this happened (for the second time) recently I suggested the wife re-booted her Chromecast by pulling the power into the hub out for 30seconds & see what happened....
well it didn't help, but she could still watch videos (that she did that night) using the Chromecast from youTube & they played fine.
The next day she decided to give it a longer re-boot & while it was un-powered I went over to the workshop & rebooted the server which hadn't been rebooted for months but it made no difference.
At this point I said to the wife that the last time it went something like this all I did was change over the hub to the one like the one I use for the sitting room so I then changed it over to the one I removed the time before & after the full reboot it now plays recording fine again.
As I said earlier "weird or what?"
The only difference apart for the slight difference in Chromcast models is that at night I 'exit' uidroid from the menu before I turn the TV off where as the wife just turns her TV off.
The second oddity we have is using the remotes in that "at times" they will go into double click mode, ie. trying to do a number skip & select "3" will give "33" and a "back" click will give "back back" etc. which is bloody annoying.... but it doesn't happen all the time just seems to go into a phase when it does & then later it will be back to fine again.
When a recording is scheduled when the computer is in hibernate state NextPVR no longer returns the computer to hibernate state when recording is finished just leaves the computer running. This is a recent development.
