I have been trying to get Next PVR to schedule American Horror Story: Hotel but it won't do it. I originally created a schedule on a standard def channel when an HD channel was available and it showed up in the recurring recordings. Since I wanted the HD channel, I deleted the recurring recording and tried recreating it on the high def channel instead but it would not schedule it. I deleted the recording and tried creating a recurring schedule for all episodes instead of just new epeisode with no success. I then tried recreating the recording on the SD channel with still not luck. Any ideas?
Sub, I don't have many of them, but those (channels DRM protected) that I do are ones I typically watch using WMC. However, when I, accidentally, forget that a channel is protected (or my wife obliviously tunes to one of those channels on NPVR), I am experiencing NPVR lockups that are not easily cleared- particularly by my wife. I am wondering if it would be possible to display some sort of message/indication that a channel is protected and provide a graceful means of escape when this grievous event occurs?
I just upgraded to Version 3.5.7 ... but if I convert a ts recorded file to mp4 with the same name it just will not play.... Is this a known bug.??? I have tried every decoder it will also not play using the KODI NPVR plugin.

I'm a newbie, coming to NPVR from Win Media Center so that I can use Win 10. Low powered, Lenovo Q180, and HD-HomeRun over the air TV capture on ATSC (not QAM). Log files attached. Using current version of NPVR.
Here is the problem. Video is captured fine, audio stutters and is staticy. The same file plays fine with VLC, which uses A52 codec. Watching TV through NPVR also works fine. Tried various codecs, Microsoft DTV-DVD, ffdshow. Installed SAF6, tried all of its AC3 codecs, still get stuttering on playback. Things to try?
While trying to delete a failed recording, I get an Underhanded Exception Error. It says something along the lines of cannot cannot to 127.0.0.1:8968. I just upgraded yesterday.
I don't think this is actually a NextPVR issue, but I'm wondering if any of the experts here can point me in the right direction. I've noticed that the FX and FXX channels are missing from my channel list when I scan my HDHome Run. I see the channels missing from both NextPVR and the HDHomerun Config tool. Notice how 553 is missing in this screenshot, but the channels right before and after it are fine. According to Verizon, I should get this channel.
As far as I know, I had FX working with WMC and Ceton Infinitv4 just a month ago before I switched to NPVR. It wasn't a copy protected channel.
So, this has become more common recently, and the last time I posted sub said something about if it could be recreated, maybe he could find something. I'm not sure how to go about it, but I have a number of recent instances of this happening, so if there are any suggestions of what I could try, I would appreciate it.
In the attached logs, there are 4 instances where the file ends up as 0 length - Public Morals on 9-22, The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore on 9-21 and 9-22, and College Football on 9-26 (luckily I recorded this on my other system, too, so I didn't miss it).
Checking on a scheduled recording after it should have finished, I received the message "channel not found, deleted."
With at least four copies of that channel, what went wrong?
Some one that can read the logs and determine what happened would be greatly appreciated. I'm just not sure what/where to look.
Another utility I am working on moves recordings from local storage (small ssd) to the server. I move the file and its .edl then, if the move was successful, update the file name in the db. Sporadically, recordings were disappearing from the DB entirely even though the update was successful. I tried running the utility at startup before nextpvr is launched rather than shutdown and the problem seems to have disappeared but I don't know why.
What would be the best method to update the db so that I don't lose recordings?
Does the .exe or one of the services watch recordings directories and delete db entries when files disappear?
I have a utility that automatically adds every show premier to the recurring recordings list (ie. s01e01) filtered by time and channel. I manually add a record to npvr.db3. Every update, I worry about if I am going to break something. This year I broke the recurring recordings screen by not escaping an ampersand in the show title (Blood & Oil).
I have seen references to SchedulingHelper and web interfaces but I have no idea where to find them or documentation.
What approach would you recommend to avoid breakage when future releases come out?
