I installed NextPVR for the first time yesterday, and sub helped me get the epg working. So I got my first recording last night. However on play back I am not hearing any sound. The computer does send sound through the HDMI to the television. The recording will play with sound via WMP. I have not had any luck playing live TV, so I do not know if sound works there. I have attached the NPVR.log file, hope that is the correct log.
ie one programme (egBBC1) displayed then programmes (shows) displayed below
BBC1
18:00 NEWS
19:00 ONE SHOW
19:30 Eastenders
20:00 COP Drama
21:00 Panorama
22:00 NEWS
22:25 Weather
This shows the full name of the programme and the full Evenings viewing for 1 channel at a time a right click on the remote to then show similar view for BBC2 etc....
Just a Suggestion as I do truly rate NPVR as one of the essential apps for a great HTPC and thank you for all your hard work.
Hello and first thanks to the developers, great product !
So I have my setup on a 64 bit windows 10 machine running version 3.5.7.
I'm in Melbourne, Australia and have a FusionHDTV - express DVB-T Card in the Box, its primarily used as a Live TV and DVR -> Plex
All is working, ALL the channels are there, I update the EPG TV Guide OTA from the channels section of Settings, all works and I get > a week of EPG ... all goo so far
So then in the next 1/2 days the EPG empties (1 to 2 days into the week I did have) ... never updates, I have to go back every 24 hrs to Settings->Channels
so....
1) why does the EPG just disappear
2) why does it not update in the background as MS MCE did (I assume this is related to 1) )
Hello, I'm a newbie. I have only been using NextPVR for a few weeks with Schedules Direct as my EPG Source. I initially successfully set up my channels to use Schedules Direct as its EPG Source. Yesterday, I rescanned my channels and picked up a few more OTA channels. When I try to set the new channels EPG source, I get under Channel Details message "Unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Hi! I've just recently started to use NPVR after using WMC for several years, and I'm liking what I see so far. Nice work! I do have a list of suggestions for some key/button changes. See what you think of my (kinda lengthy) list:
When I press the Play button on a show in What's New, I'd like it to always resume a recording that has a resume point. This ensures that the user has to explicitly tell the program that it should lose information (the resume point) by choosing something like "Replay" in the show's menu.
I'd like the show's menu to start with Play (or Resume) instead of "Close" (I'd move Close down to the end). For a show that hasn't been played yet, have the first item be "Play". Once there is a resume point, make it "Resume" and add "Replay" right below it.
It would be nice if the delete key would work w/o having to enter the show's menu. I can currently delete a show in What's New by pressing Enter + Delete + Enter (to confirm), but it would be nice to be able to use just Delete + Enter.
If I press play on a group of shows in Ready Recordings, it would be nice if the first unwatched show would start to play (currently Play does nothing).
When stopping at the current end-of-recording point in a still-recording show loses the resume point. If the save-resume-point logic was tweaked to base the end-of-show point on how long the show will become, that would allow a Stop at 30 mins into a 61-min recording to save the Resume point, even when only 30 minutes has been recorded.
It would be nice if the Space key would pause/play in playback.
It would be nice if the 'x' key would stop playback.
It would be nice if the Backspace key went back like the Escape key does.
I noticed that the imageGrabLite instance called by PostEPGUpdate.bat is failing each night. The log file is attached.
I think that there is a problem with theTVDB.com returning an invalid .xml file, maybe? Can you put in something to catch such an error and just skip that program and continue with the rest of them rather than exiting the imageGrabLite run and not processing the rest of the show?
I am trying to set up NextPVR. I read the posts, and signed up for Schedule Direct. And some of my channels are showing data for a day or two. Some only for 6 hours or so. I ran the clear epg then update epg and attached the npvr.log. I am not real sure what I am reading in the log files but below it looks like it parses the xml just fine. So why can't I see the schedule out seven days?
Any and all help much appreciated.
cheers
bob
