I'm having an odd issue. My wife will kill me if I don't get this fixed. I went to Search and found all the shows that are coming up over the next couple of weeks that I want to record. Everything worked as expected until I tried scheduling my wife's show, Nashville. I set up the recording and selected to record new episodes like I did for every other show. There were no errors, but when I click OK the show didn't get highlighted in red like it should. I went to pending recordings and it isn't there either. I rebooted my computer and tried setting up the recording again. The log looks like this:
To me, it looks like it is updating an already scheduled recording, but when I look at pending recordings it isn't there. If I go back to Search and find it again, it still looks like there is nothing scheduled. Any ideas?
I have NPVR setup on my htpc machine that is connected to my family room tv. I would like to "extend" the service to my living room and bedroom if possible. I have done some looking and exploring on the NMT and PCH forum section, tried a few things but the installers are not working. So my question is this: I have a windows 8.1 tablet that I can connect to to either of the tv's. Is there any way to connect to the main HTPC and "extend" the database to this tablet using the NPVR software? I have tried kodi works ok but I don't like the PVR features as well as the NPVR software!
IF this is not an option what are my other options available?
any ideas suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
I have a Hauppauge Win TV 7164 dual tuner.
NextPVR recognizes both tuners and each one shows as having 5 channels associated with it.
However, when I try to record 2 shows at the same time I normally get an error on one of the recordings that says "device failed to start"
Can someone point me in the right direction as to what settings I need to check/change?
Thanks!
I've scheduled a number of programs which are sequential in the TV guide, and none of them record - except the first in the series - sometimes.
In this example, I'm attempting to record Varney on channel 149 (FBN) at 9am. The target recording file is created, but it is empty. Another program was also requested for 9am on another channel, but it too came up empty. These two programs were requested to be recorded right after another program on channel 1214 seemed to be recorded correctly at 6-9am.
This scenario repeats each day...
No pre or post padding. 4 tuner Ceton with 2 tuners disabled (only testing with 2 tuners).
I have a computer that was custom built 5 years ago for Windows 7 and my Hauppauge 1600 TV Tuner PCI card. I used Windows Media Center to schedule recordings and view TV. It worked beautifully.
Unfortunately my OS became corrupt and now must be reinstalled. The question is whether to upgrade to Windows 10 and try NPVR in lieu of the Media Center.
The computer specifications are
MB Gigabyte GA-EP43T-USB3 P43 R
GEForce 9500GT PCIE 2.0 512 MB DDR3 DVI TV Out 550 MHZ Ctlr
Box Pentium E6700 3.2 G 2C 2T 2 MB 64 XD S775
I also have to use an IR blaster to change the channels. But the TV Card and Windows Media Center managed to work with that and do automatic recordings.
Is this build capable of supporting Windows 10 and NPVR, along with simultaneously running other programs like Office and Firefox, or would I have to get new hardware to handle this stuff? I already know I need more RAM, right now it's just 4GB. It was attempting to add more RAM that revealed the corruption.
How much misery am I looking at to get everything working together as well as they did with Windows 7 and its Media Center?
If I stay with 7, it's going to take days to install all the updates, but it might be worth avoiding the hassle of upgrading the whole computer system at this time.
I'm struggling to get the newa interface working, I'm running windows 10 64 bit, I did have this working previously but after upgrading to the latest version it keeps coming back on chrome saying connection refused.
Ive tried changing the port, completely scraping npvr off starting again. Now here's the interesting thing the alpha 1 of the admin panel installs fine and runs but falls over on setting up the admin panel, so that attempt failed.
I do use norton internet security but the ports for npvr have been allowed in settings and switching norton off makes no difference. Is this a common problem or would the alpha 2 of the abandoned admin panel work, or am I just getting nowhere?
Yesterday evening my internet connection went down, and I discovered that it was impossible to start NextPvr, today the connection is up again and problem gone! This is not how it is supposed to, right?
Setup: video source connected to analog inputs of HDPVR2 on server in closet. Running NextPVR 3.5.7 on Windows 10.
I'd like to be able to view the stream from that tuner in two other rooms simultaneously. I can start one stream in VLC using a link like http://192.168.10.100:8867/live?channel=2, however if I try to start a second stream from a different PC (using that same URL) the first stream stops.
I've looked through the config files, but I haven't found anything that addresses simultaneous connections. Can anyone tell me if this is possible, and if so, how I can enable it?
Hello,
I have an idea for a native ios 9.1 app for npvr, that will initially just control the frontend provided in the installer via web/json api, if it supports that. Also I would also like it to play streamed tv, and schedule recordings from your phone or ipad.
