Ran GBPVR several months -- all great.

Last week -- 3 recordings lost/missed. When selecting program from Guide, get:

Error:No Connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it

When OK clicked (on error msg), show turns Red on guide -- shows up in Pending but does not record. EPG Update and all else works.

In viewing the logs, no entries when shows should have started (if I am reading the right logs).

Only change in last few weeks (before problem started) was adding Pinnacle Showcenter streaming server - should not impact intra machine connections.

P4-3.2 512M WXPSP2 NIS, all updated. Hauppauge PVR150.

Any help appreciated TIA

Sounds like you have a firewall in the way.
I'm not always right

Thanks for reply Stefan -

What would/should I open to make this work? If you (or anyone on forum) has the URL(s) needed I will open the route.

Thought PVR went to local system -- is this the info for Zap2It not getting thru to Zap2It site?

TIA

GBPVR frontend connects to the recordingservice (on the same computer) in a client/server fashion. If you have a firewall on the windows computer (software firewall, that is) it might prevent the frontend from talking to the server. You should open it for the GBPVR app in such case.
