In the FusionHDTV app, theres an configuration option on the display tab. The video decoder pulldown box has "Zulu HGTV video decoder" and "Zulu HGTV(DxVA) video decoder"

If you card supports hardware assisted MPEG2 decoding, you should see drop in CPU usage. If your card doesn't support it then the app will crash.

I think my kids are too spoiled, they can watch Barney any time, and pick from a number of episodes. I am not sure what would satisfy them when they grow up. I compare my situation now to the B/W TV we had when I was little. It was enjoyable then... may be just as much as HDTV now.

Ok, back to the topic. I have figured out the name of the Zulu player with HW acceleration support and added it to GB-PVR (checking the box in FusionsHDTV does not affect GB-PVR, but FusionHDTV performance). It did not change the playback. Since the recording is a DVR-MS file, it will not really change anything. Zulu player will be most effective with transport stream (.tp) files created by FusionHDTV. From what I gather, there is not a way for GB-PVR to use the transport stream mux (0 KB files are created) and generate such files. Correct?
