Overscan correction?

Is there a way to set the default size and position for video playback in GB-PVR? This is a killer feature seen in Media Portal (which has a nice front end to set it up, but the more simple number pad solution from Media Player Classic would be fine as long as the position was remembered).

The reason why I ask is my graphics card has a large chunk of image off the top of the screen. It would be nice to be able to correct for its rather enthusiastic overscanning and scale + position the screen image correctly.

Media Player Classic and Media Portal are both GPL if you want reference code to put this in.

What video card do you have? NVidia cards have options in the video properties to adjust the screen, I have no overscan problems on my TV. I believe ATI has the same.

I am using TVTool to adjust overscan on my Nvidia card. It works very well for me.
