I'm using the freecom dvb-t usb stick with the yakumo drivers

This works fine with yakumo software and show shifter, but like h3ll can i get gb-pvr to work.

Under the config capture sources i've set it to bda-recording plugin, and that it is a freecom and use all countries/regions settings

i've tried using the bleb-uk listing and the dvb-t built in epg and none will work

bleb-uk plugin takes ages to run and does update the gbpvr.mdb database and when open this in access can see all the information for relevant channels its downloaded, yet when run gbpvr and try to look at tv guide or live tv it constantly says nothing there and to re-run 'update epg'

when do a rescan it just picks up a lot of unknown stations.

ie unknown
unknown(1)
five
unknown(2)
itv3
itv3(1)

another thing i noticed was that i uninstalled it, rebooted and reinstalled and it still had scans from previous installation, so i uninstalled it again, rebooted and found that when you uninstall, it doesn't actually delete most of itself, and leaves a fair chunk of rubbish on the drive

also the processes running are extremely high upto 99% sometimes, surely it shouldn't use this much processing power.

Unless anyone can advise of what i might be doing wrong or how to get this working correctly, then it looks like i be looking for an alternate piece of software that works on my setup.

This is the error you'd get if you set it to use the bleb EPG, but forgot to click the 'map digital channels to EPG channels' button. Send a screenshot of this screen, and attach a copy of your config.exe.log and I'll take a look.

When I see the occasional person make a comment like that on their post (trying to prod a bit of action), I'm usually tempted not to respond to their post at all, or to tell them to go find some other app. I couldnt care less which application you end up using.

my appologises sub, didn't mean to offend, been trying all ways to get this working for over a week now and was frustrated last night when i wrote the post.

Ideally I would like to get this program working, its probably something I'm doing wrong, but not sure as tried all ways to get channel listing and epg to work. i've mapped channels, rescanned and all the same issues

i'll do a clean install and go through the normal config setup and take any screenshots which may help in resolving the problem or showing were i'm actually going wrong.

i've just tried before i wipe software for re-install, and have attached screenshots of the various screens plus my config.exe.log file

i have also noticed even though when change rom bleb-uk to epg from broadcast i have to close the config program down before it displays in the main screen.

another thing i noticed was that when map channel and then go back in, the channels aren't mapped

hope the attached info is of use

In the DCM.JPG picture, click in the 'Tuning Request' field and a drop downlist will appear that lets you select which channel it will be mapped to. You need to do this for each channel you intend to use, or the channel will be automatically disabled.

thanks,

slowly getting this to work using the bleb uk, getting more channels on the guide.

does the epg over broadcast work as well, as if can get this working would be a godsend as a lot quicker than getting from web

only other problem is at moment is some channels aren't being picked up when do a scan, but will keep trying them

thanks again for the help on this

Hi

I'm having trouble with GBPVR keeping on crashing when leaving the config pages. It says:
Quote:See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

<SNIP>

I've got a Freecom USB DVB-T device using the Yakumo drivers. Initially it wouldn't even let me scan the channels but is now doing that successfully (not sure if this was after I installed the Showshifter software).

Any tips/ideas?

Thanks

Alan

Use the forum search feature to search for "Process performance counter is disabled"

Sorry - you're quite right, just got a whole lot of threads appear after putting that in. I tried a search for "process performance" before posting but it didn't come up with any hits for some reason - must have been searching the wrong bit of the forum.

Apologies! Have trimmed most of my post so it doesn't take up so much room!
