Hi. I can neither play live tv or recordings without getting audio and video that is incredibly choppy -- maybe one frame per second -- through GBPVR. WinTV2000 plays and records just fine. What might the problem be?

You have the same type of computer as I do. Start off att the "safe" settings, that is use overlay (as opposed to VMR 7/9) and use the intervideo decoder that comes with the hauppauge software. VMR9 renders badly on my system. If you have set gbpvr to use a decoder that uses a lot of cpu power, that might also be a problem. Cyberlink works failry smoothly. Or, as someone said in another thread, it might be something completely different =)

Hm, the intervideo decoder and overlay setting have sped things up considerably. Where do i set Cyberlink up?

Also, the On-screen display makes everything slow down to a crawl again, which is sad -- how did you fix that?

Thanks for your help! Smile

Sorry... I meant to repeat "Intervideo". That said, Cyberlink *does* look a bit nicer, IMHO, but uses significantly more horse power. I stopped using it because of that. Cyberlink decoder ships with PowerDVD.

Agreed.

Who said I did? Wink Seriously though, I learned to live with it. Our computers are just too slow to handle it.
