Can the location for the MVP temp files used during transcoding from AVI be changed?

They can hang around and clutter up my otherwise tidy recordings directory. Smile

The Live TV folder would seem like a sensible place for these since they are equally transient in nature.

They are currently sent wherever your records directory is set to.

This file should be automatically deleted when playback is complete, or overwritten when you next play a file requiring transcoding.

Yes, that's what I was asking, could a future release put these transient files into say the Live TV buffer directory instead?

I keep having to explain to my wife what these files are for, you probably know how frustrating that can be. Smile

For future reference, I tend to view these questions a different way if they are asked in the Support forum vs the Wishlist forum.

In the support forum I read it as "can I currently do this? and what setting do I need to change to enable it".
