Hi,

I have noticed the last few days that when watching live TV via MVP some mpg files are generated in the root of the recordings folder prefixed with "MVP" rather than the mpg files appearing in my LiveTV folder. It's probably the first time i've used live TV since moving for 96.12 (i like to stay a release or two back).

Is it by design, or a bugette? I only ask, as i have used my MpegImport util recently whilst trying to get my HTPC working as a network client (the client wiped out the recording records in the DB), and it's picking up these MVP prefixed mpg files.

If it is by design then i'll add some exclusion support to the MpegImport util.

Regards.

These are not live tv timeshift files. It generates these temporary files when it has to transcode a file from a non-native format like .AVI or .DVR-MS.

If it did seem to appear when you watched live tv, then I'm guessing your've got a DVB card and are recording .DVR-MS files.

Ahh, that explains it. I forgot to install the MpgMux.ax filter after adding the DVB-T cards to my system, so i ended up with some DVR-MS files.

Thanks.
