Hi,

I recently bought a Hauppauge Nova-T USB2 (93000 rev 2).

Having found the supplied WinTV2000 application virtually unusable, I'm looking for an alternative. The GBPVR homepage states that Nova-T USB2 is supported, so I installed it.

Everything seems to work up to the point where I try to scan for channels using the "Tuning Assistant".

The dialogue that opens when it starts asks me to select my card and country, but no "Nova" cards are listed.

I tried all the other Hauppauge devices, and everytime I get the error "Failed to find crossbar filter. Wrong device type?".

Any ideas? What vital piece of information have I missed?

You need to select BDA Recording Plugin as it is a DVB device. You will then be able to select the Nova-T USB2. I have one and it works great!

The Tuning Assistant is for analog devices. Its not needed for digital devices like your Nova-T USB2.
