Unable to load external recording plugins

OK,
Call me a dummy, but I stumped on this.
I D/L the replacement DLL as mentioned, although it has no .dll extention.
placed it in the ..\devnz\gbpvr\ directory.
No Go.
Then I renamed the old GBPVRBackendCommon.dll to .ori and placed the new one in it's place with the .dll extention.
No go, and I get an error running config.exe ( obviously not the correct file and big file size difference.)
So how do I apply this .dll patch? or where do I unzip it to?
Maybe I don't unzip it at all?
Winzip produces an error, so I used WinRAR to open it.
Any help please!

Unable to load external recording plugins
I'm aware of a bug that will make it not possible to use external recording plugins (Software Recorder, SkyStar2 Recorder and DboxRecorder plugins).

After installing this updated DLL, the plugins should again function as they are supposed to.

You have to add the .zip extension to the filename and then unzip it.

this will give you a new gbpvrbackendcommon.dll to replace your old one with.

I have managed to do this, but i cannot add a dbox plugin, even with the new dll file.

Does anyone have any other suggestions???
