I'm having problems with 2 functions, which I think are related to some issue with the overlay.
1) xvid and dvix playback do not work in GB-PVR. When using VMR 9, VMR7 or overlay manager, no video appears (e.g. if I'm loading a file using video playback, the screen stays at the file list but remains unresponsive until the non-existant video is stopped by hitting ESC). When using VMR 9 Custom, the screen turns black with no video playback. In all cases, sound is audible - so playback is being attempted but video is simply not being displayed on screen. Windows Media Player plays back the same files fine without problem in both window and full screen mode. MPEG video playback (e.g. pausing TV, watching recorded TV without transcoding) works fine without any performance issues.
2) When using Encoding Pass through de-interlacing, no on-screen display shows up (e.g. ctrl-g doesn't do anything, no channels displayed on screen, no OSD at all) during both live-tv and watching recorded TV (not sure if any OSD is supposed to appear during playback of recorded video). What de-interlacing method should I be using?
I am running a Pentium 4 with the Hauppauge 150. Video card is a nVidia GeForce2 MX 400. I am only using the TV out. I have DirectX 9.0c, and dxdiag.exe shows all tests pass. I am running Windows XP Professional.
I have read previous posts that deal with glitchy or slow MPEG playback, but haven't been able to find anything similar to my situation.
I have tried the DirectX 9.0b quartz.dll replacement, but did not find that worked.
Thanks in advance.
