SuMo Wrote:I guess the only way that this will work is when the MVP stops naming the transcoded .avi files like "MVP000DFE001F1C1.mpg" and start using the original file name. Then you could copy the .srt in that dir on forehand. So no time difference between transcoding->playback and reading .srt sub files.
Doing a transcode and hardcopy the subs is the only sattisfying solution for me so far.

Would you mind telling me how you transcode the subtitles into the MPG? Which transcoder, what's the command line? thanks..

He Zehd,

I can understand the confusion, but I wasn't talking of hardcoding .srt files into .mpg's but into divx/xvid. I've got way to much movies/recordings/kids stuff to leave it all in the mpeg format.

I was so used to hardcoding subs into divx files I forgot to try the <SubtitleDelayMVP> setting in the latest release.

That's OK. I have since learned that it's the same, for MPG or AVIs... I was able to get subtitling working in ZProcess with MEncoder... but I just can't adjust the position of the titles...

What kind of subtitle files are you using? If I remember correct, the position of the subtitles in a .ssa file are difined within the .ssa . Does that make any sence ?

I've been using SRT text files. It's the only support I have built into Zprocess for the moment. I have since found out how to overlay and position subs with MEncoder. And I might have it with VLC...
