All of a sudden, I can not playback recordings or DVDs. I tryed a re-install and keep getting a pop-up that says "Failure playing back file" every time I try. Since it is a re-install, there are no plugins.

Shows are still recording and I can watch them in Media PLayer. Here's the error log.

Zip and attach a complete set of logs and I'll take a look.

What video decoder are you using?

Can you try it with Overlay instead of VMR7? VMR7 can be a bit flakey compared to VMR9 and Overlay. Also, the Cyberlink decoders are not compatible with VMR unless you add some specific registry settings. (Google for Cyberlink EnableVMR)

Overlay works Smile. The OSD just isn't as pretty without transparency Sad.

I forgot, I'm using the InterVideo decoder for playback of recorded TV. The Cyberlink decoder is used for DVD playback.

I did do the registry change for Cyberlink and VMR. My video card doesn't handle VMR9 all to well. That's why I was using VMR7.

I've been using GBPVR for ~8 months now with VMR7. Any idea why it would just stop working? The only thing I did different today was listen to music.

No, not really. I dont ever test VMR7 though, so it probably a bug thats crept in at some point. I'll try to remember to check it out before v0.98.
