You may have some difficulties watching DVR-MS videos while they're still recording. The transcoding to MPEG2 will probably only go as far as the duration at the time your started the transcode.

That's probably true as I had problems forwarding past the last adds... Does this mean timeshift will never work beyond a certain point??

Respect due Sub, I can't believe you've released all this for free when msoft cost x billion to develope MCE..

Correct. You're better off using the Cyberlink mux and recording to .MPG files if you own an MVP.

Apologies for that apparently PowerDVD contains a codec, not a Mux. method (B) works though :-)

Can confirm using the cyberlink mux means gbpvr is recording to mpg - all good... however.. found this evening wmplayer was hogging all of one cpu core and unable to play movies. VLC was unaffected.

System restored. I guess this was to do with mux registration. I've redone it and saved the .ax file to the gbpvr directory instead of the system32 directory. But then I don't remember it not working yesterday??

Anyone heard of this before?

Working again now fine after restore and re-registering.

VLC uses its own built-in decoders

That's what I figured... still not sure what causes the system to fall over after a period..

Cheers Smile

I think this was because I installed some dodgy beta encoding software called "super" by erightsoft... *phew*
