Could you tell me what software I need to install that has the MPEG-2 codec that will work with gbpvr.

Yes, I saw that and installed it. No all I get is a snowy screen.

Any idea's?

Sounds like its working, but you dont have it tuned to a valid signal. Where are you trying to get a signal from? Do you have an antenna, or are you trying to plug into the hotel's cable network, or something else?

I have hooked up to the hotel cable, I get all the stations in the 'tuning assistant'.

I created to custom channels, 4 (FOX) & 5 (NBC), but all I get is snow. what am I missing?

You need to make sure the channel numbers listed in the capture source settings match those found by the tuning assistant.
